    Horrible!!!

    Cheap and quite convenient

We stayed here just for few hours. First of all, we selected this hotel because it was the cheapest that we could find. For its price ~20 Euro per night, it is quite convenient. The room is clean and shower with hot water. Staffs are nice, but only the male receptionist can speak English. The building somehow needs renovation but overall we are happy with our stay there.

Oh wow! And not in a good way!

The hotel was easy to find as its on one of the main streets and is in a prime location. I arrived and came in to find an empty reception, I rang the bell and nobody came, I then rang the two numbers provided and both went straight to answer phone. I went out side and pressed the door bell and still had no answer. On the booking it asked what time I was planning on arriving and I selected the option 18:00-19:00 I arrived at about half past 18:00 so was confused as to where anybody was! Eventually a man came down and I checked in, I speak French so this wasn't a problem for me but he spoke very very little English so be aware. He showed me up to my room and opened the door, he turned on the "heating" showed me how to use it and pointed out the towels etc. No bearing in mind I am a budget traveller and was trying to keep the price down, I wasn't expecting to have a lavish room, but oh my god. The walls were COVERED and I mean covered with mould and damp patches, there was wall paper hanging off the walls and the curtain didn't actually fit the window. It was dated dingy and dark. There were three lights in the room, one worked. Now by far and away the wort part of my stay was the sleeping. (Surprisingly I found the bed very comfy) I was absolutely freezing. The heating cannot be called freezing. I had 5, I repeat FIVE, blankets on and was still shivering, I slept in pyjamas, 2 pairs of socks, my coat and had to cover my face with the blanket. - I understand the midi-Pyrenees is cold but I genuinely think this was close to a breach of human rights! You cannot sell a room which is this cold, the heating is not sufficient and I was so so cold. (I actually think my room was colder than outside - on the streets). The whole hotel needs a huge renovation or needs to be knocked down. There was a baby on my floor and was up most of the night. The walls are so thin, the baby could have been in my room for all I knew, you can here every single footstep on the landing on the stairs on other rooms etc. Definitely don't go for privacy because I could here the full blown argument of the family next door). The bathroom again was stone cold, there was no chance of me taking my clothes off to have a shower I would have frozen to death! Which I guess is a positive because the bathroom was filthy. The wifi only works in a small are of the reception, there is no lift to the rooms at the back of the hotel and the entire place is dated. Luckily I was only here for 2 nights. If I had been here longer I would have left and moved hotel it was unbearable. The worst hotel I have ever ever been it. Be aware and do not book! It might be cheap but it was disgusting. For a couple euro extra stay somewhere else!

    Almost perfect!

The hotel/ apartmen is very clean. Although the hotel is far from the Grotto but very close to train station instead, 1 minute from train station by walk. Stay at the hotel feel at home. There is a kitchen with a set of cooking. The last but not least the staff is friendly.
