  Good hotel in great location with wonderful views

  The Mar Bas to be a good small quiet hotel in a great location, with wonderful views and only a few steps away from its own private beach. The rooms were cleaned every day, new towels provided if required, and were comfortable. The view of icmeler marina with Marmaris bay in the distance was wonderful. I enjoyed seeing the view change through the day and the resort come more alive each day as it got ready for the season to start on 1st May. . I enjoyed the drinks and the beer, red wine and raki were good. The pool bar terrace looked out on the hotels private beach and the same wonderful view from my room. The food was basic but very tasty and cakes were just too tempting and delicious. The Mar Bas has its own private bar and restaurant Liberty Resturant and Bar which is next to the hotel on the beach front with its own jetty if you did not want to go far. However, It is only a short walk to the supermarket and bars and restaurants in Icmeler. I was able to organise day trips at the hotel and found the hotel staff welcoming and helpful. The Dolmus stops outside the hotel which is great if you want to go to Marmaris 3TL or Icmeler 2TL As is usual you paid for a room safe which was a reasonable cost, and paid for wifi which again was reasonable and you could receive the wifi all over the hotel. Would I go back to this hotel, yes I would.

  Beautiful view, perfect location and nice staff.

  The location is wonderful. At the end of çmeler beach, peaceful and very clean water with a perfect view. We had sea view room at 3rd floor. Clean and spacious. Nicely furnished. Only minus is bathroom. Too small but ok. Our room was cleaned every day. The balcony was also spacious and comfortable to sit and enjoy the view. Staff was really nice. From the general director Mr. Cengiz to the kitchen staff and cleaning ladies very friendly but respectful. Young and disciplined people. They worked like bees really :) Well done to the whole team. Food was mostly nice and fresh. But with mostly Russian-Ukrainian guests the chance of getting a table at the beginning is very weak. Specially oldies are always hungry and never stop eating and drinking :) They also keep first line on the beach at 6 morning every day. No chance to get a chair in the first line after 8 or 9. Crazy people :). I can understand now why Western European guests does not want to stay in the same hotel together with Eastern Europeans. But despite this fact we enjoyed the beach and pool well. I recommend to everyone. Great value for such a price. Another recommendation is to rent a car or bike and to go to Kumlubuk beach which is unbelievably clean and beautiful. Much better then çmeler or Turunç. No any hotel almost. A nice wild and isolated place to have a good rest in silence.

  Long weekend

  Just returned from a long weekend staying at the mar-bas with good and bad points but overall was happy enough with the hotel mainly because of the friendly service we got from the man on reception who was very helpful (always seemed to be there day and night). We arrived at the hotel and was checked in and a young staff member carried our cases to our room for us, we quickly realised the room wasnt what we had booked(sea view) we spoke to the man who couldnt do anything right then but assured us we could move once the cleaners was in, within 4 hours we was moved to the sea view room, we also enquired about late check out due to the time of our flight and for a fee they could accommodate although it meant moving to get another room. Although all inclusive we only ate 2 meals there which was tasty enough but not very hot and the second day seemed to be a replica menu of the day before, we skipped breakfast as it did not even look nice but found some lovely restaurants in the area and ate out all the time. I didnt feel there was a great choice with the drinks either only 1 lager on draught and it seemed only vodka or red wine for other alcohol drinks. The pool area is quite small but never seemed overcrowded as you have a private beach area with beds right in front of the hotel. Room was clean only grumble was the aircon being on a timer as the rooms can get very hot and stuffy from the heat. Would go back but not all inclusive

  Lovely view

  Lovely view is the only thing this hotel has. We were all inclusive and never seen alcohol at the bar.when we enquired about this a young boy opened a cupboard below the bar and poured a glass of warm wine which was quite disgusting. No alcohol on show in this hotel at all. Food was standard. Rooms very small and basic unless you pay hotel money for a bigger one. Been on holiday in icmeler many times never again to this hotel.

  Unexpected Gem

  Stopped at this hotel by chance. Excellent reception , room rate very good. Offered sea view rooms which were lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful well above expectations. Beautiful setting with lovely private beach. Very clean. Ate on the jetty at restaurant linked to hotel very good. Jimmy reserved our sun beds and looked after us serving drinks. Stayed with friends and all had a lovely relaxing time.
