Surprised. Confused. Disappointed.Hello, my dear friends - ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. There are two advantages of this hotel - location not far from the centre of Berlin and friendly service. That is all, so let me tell you about the disadvantages. First of all - this hotel is situated in a realy old living house and you can meet the residents when leaving you room. And they are not glad to see you, just belive me. Hotel is split in to parts one on the ground floor and another one in the third floor. Rooms in th ground floor have an separate door to come in from the street. The room I left in is lagre... no, it is huge! If you book this room in winter, you find out how is it to live in an igloo. Warm it up with the heaters? No chance - it is too huge for that. Furniture is old, no table in the room, so, you cannot use your notebook normaly. Bath room was not good cleaned well - I've found hairs on the wall(!), one of the bottles with hair+body gel was empty, and it was empty a few days - nobody cares. Room I lived in was stinking. Seriously, it smelled like somebody was smoking in there whole the time I was out of the room. Nevertheless, this hotel is announced as non-smoking - keep it in mind before you book a room. Wi-Fi did not work in my room. I asked a girl on the reception to fix it twice, she told me that it is fixed soon but it was not. There is a "kitchen conor" in the room, and dishes are provided. Somebody wants to cook and wash the dishes beein on a trip or on a vacation? Are you serious? Keep in mind - there is no normal table in the room and you can eat staying or siting on the sofa (old as hell too) holding the plate with your hand. Round the conor you can find a caffee, cross the street and find a mini-market with friendly service and low prices. In fact, you don't need this "kitchen conor" at all. And anybody else does not. As a resume I say: if you have choise to book or not to book a room in this hotel - don't book, look for an other option. There is a lot of hotels in Berlin better and much better than this one.

Trying to be Antique and missing by a long wayI Must say if you a member of an SM team, then this is the place for you - A Russian middle aged receptionist will tell you the do's and dont's of the premises. The price is good for the centre of Berlin and for a night. In the neighbourhood is a great 24hr undergroud garage, and super restaurants in the close vicinity. The room is basic and the bedding not the best - Hostel style -the bathroom had a pump for the Loo, and this runs after the business, for a while. I had a double room, but two would have been in here a crowd, but if your on a sightseeing tour then it's perfect. I would recommend my kids, small budget, small Hotel and central. Breakfast was an attempt. Tables too small, too many of them and no space in the room.

For that money we expected much moreWe paid 332 euro for 4 nights and actually expected much more for that money. What we liked is the location - near grocery store and KuDam, metro and train stations are within walking distance. The house itself is quite nice and there is an elevator. Stuff seem to be friendly. And that's probably all the pros. We arrived couple of hours earlier (we had an early morning flight from Dublin), I warned the administrator in advance and also let him know that I will have my Birthday on the day of arrival. But they didn't give us the room earlier and we had to wait until 2 pm. Our room #3 was on the 2nd floor and it was a disaster. WiFi barely worked in the room, I could not even check the emails. The sockets behind the bed didn't work. There was no fridge, no kettle, no air-con. The windows are those old wooden windows and it was very cold in the room. My husband got sick. The blankets are so thin we couldn't get warm. Noisy toilet. You need to wait until you get hot water. Cleanliness is another problem. Curtains are so dirty and dusty they are grey. The same for the canopy. There is only one small bin in the bathroom. We arrived on 31.12. On 1 January they only asked if we need clean towels. On 2.01 they made a bed and cleaned the bin. But they left empty bottles and a bigger bag with food leftovers we left to take away. The floor wasn't even swept. On 3 January I went to the administrator and asked either for a place to throw litter away by myself or to clean the room properly. Next time we will look for something else.
