    Great Location

    The room was good but would have been much, much better now If we had requested a non-smoking room. We just didn't think of it as rooms in the U.S. are by default non-smoking. My Japanese friend went to the store and brought back some very effective Japanese febreze product. I sprayed the floor, bedspreads, walls, curtains, everything. In a few hours all as well. The is hotel has a great locarion to food, shops and transportation.

    Justo si eres turista, deficiente por trabajo

    Lo mejor es el sitio, a 3mins de la estación Odakyu y 5mins de JR. En cuanto al equipamiento, las fotos son reales: decoración y muebles de los 60, pero todo limpio y correcto. Problema: el wifi no funciona casi nunca. Sorpresa: el desayuno, que es bastante bueno aunque tienes que hacer cola con bastante gente.

    Convenient, close to Machida stations

    The hotel is less than 10 min walk from Odakyu Machida station (via North Exit) so it is conveniently located. Front desk staff is courteous and Check-in/Check-out process were prompt. There are numerous restaurants and bars nearby as well as for shopping. The room is nothing to speak of except it had a separate toilet and bath/shower rooms as well as a sink outside the bathroom. In our room, the bath tub was painted in brilliant red which needed to getting used to. For what we paid for a clean quiet room including breakfast buffet (they even threw in a rather inexpensive bottle of wine), we had nothing to complain about but obviously this is a hotel not spending your whole day in.

    Good hotel for staying in Machida

    We spent 7 nights on the hotel because my sister lives in Machida. The location is conveniently located near the Odakyu and JR line and near shopping centers of Machida. We didn't try the restaurant but I think it should be quite good. Breakfast (if your room did not have it) costs 1.000 yen and there are vending machines with different drinks (including beers and tobaccos). Good service and convenient but 40 mins travel to Tokyo (Shinjuku) might be inconvenient.

    Old Hotel - Avoid

    I was booked in here for an 11 night stay, however after 2 nights I moved hotels. The rooms are typical Japanese style, small bedroom and bathroom, which is fine. The bedroom had thread bare carpet in places, the head board material had been stitched back, however the foam was still exposed and the towels smelt musty. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, and when I asked the hotel about this the reply was 'same bed'. The bed is hard and if your taller than 5ft 8" your feet will stick out the bottom of the bed! The bathroom is small but functional, shower was hot, however having to wait a while for hot water. Also a note of caution, there is at least 1ft step up into the bathroom, which in the middle of the night you need to remember about! The hotel is advertised as English speaking - its not! Most of the check in staff can not speak English, the best you will get is a nod or grunt if your lucky! Breakfast is included.......There is a very small selection of food. Warm hot dog sausages, warm ish bacon, or cold ham, and lukewarm runny scrambled eggs. There was also chips served at breakfast which looked like they were either last nights chips or the previous days. There was also a small selection of fresh fruits, breads and two cereals. The restaurant is very tired and requires a major update and redecoration. The only good point I could find was the location to the station, which is about 5 minutes walk. The hotel in its day was potentially very good, but that was some time ago!
