Decent low cost family hotel.I've just got back from sunny Cyprus and had a week at the Moniatis Hotel, i'll try and break it down in segments. Location: The Hotel is situated in a small residential area in Germasogeia which is on the outskirts ol Limassol, it's quite isolated as i found out you really need a car to get about properly. You can get the local bus number 13 into Limassol which I did a few times, but they are never on time and sometimes you wait for a long time, especially coming back, single ticket cost me 1.5, it's quite a walk and not that nice with an underpass to go through, I walked it in around 30 mins. Food: I stayed half board and altough the food is a bit limited and not much choice, the dishes are quite tasty in the evening with lots of salads and fresh food to pick, breakfasts were pretty good and they change the egg style each day, fried/boiled/scrambled etc. , you can choose coffee/tea/water/orange juice. Room: The room I stayed in was at the North end so not much of a view as building works are going on nearby, but the room is quite large with plenty of storage, beds were reasonably comfy, Air-Con was constantly on 16° but the room never got that cold, it felt around 20-21° all day which was tolerable. Maybe I should have done more research but this is the first hotel I've ever stayed in a hot country with no fridge? As a traveller there's nothing better than coming back from a hot day out or around the pool when you really need a cool drink, or popping down the supermarket to put a few cool ones in the fridge for later, all my drinks were warm all week, warm water, warm Cola. Staff: The staff are friendly enough and were always happy to help you out with any questions, many thanks to Anna who organised a few excursions for me which you can do at the main desk, they do a packed lunch if you set out early too. Pool: The hotel has a nice decent sized pool out the back, there's always plenty of space to catch a few hours in the sun or a dip in the pool, many a day there were not many people out here so it's fairly quiet, but as the hotel is a couple of miles from the coast there's not much breeze, be careful as it can get pretty hot 33° most days I was there. Overall a decent hotel if a little dated and the location may not suit everyone, lack of fridge was hard to cope without, you get what you pay for as it was one of the cheapest on the sites.

Great holidayWe have just returned from our holiday and we had a brilliant stay and will be back! The hotel is a great base, the staff were lovely especially Lorna she was so helpful. The only negative was the food as it was not always to our taste but there are lovely places to eat if you dont mind a hike up a hill. Cant wait to go back next year!

Nice quiet hotel, very nice staff and food is ok, good value for money.Nice quiet hotel, very nice staff and food is ok, good value for money. Pool at times had some insects biting around, cats in the restaurant eating are was a bit unpleasant. Location is a bit out of the center but there is a bus stop close by which would take you to the centre

Excellent cosy hotel!!!Really enjoyed our stay...! Very clean, nice food, reasonable prices and pleasant staff. Once we arrived the staff welcomed us and arranged immediately our check in although we arrived late at night. Great location, near the limassol tourist area with easy access to to the motorway. We will definitely visit this hotel again.

Half board thats not half board!!!My partner and I have just returned from a two week stay. The Check-In was quick and easy the manager was polite and pleasant he explained that due to Covid restricts there was no buffet but we could have unlimited plates of food all we had to do was ask. Its a shame this wasnt relayed to his staff as when we requested more food (the dinner portions were small) the lady serving us Anna was somewhat rude telling us she would charge our room even though we had paid for half board and told us we couldnt have anymore food because they have other guests to feed! When I requested some water with our meal she gave me tap water bearing in mind there was a water dispenser of fresh mineral water! Anna seemed to lack professionalism and had a general disregard for the guests especially when I slipped over in the reception area because the floor was wet I cut my hands and arms she didnt do anything to help me and couldnt care less that I was needing first aid. The manager did speak to me about Anna and apologised about how she behaved but the damage was already done its a shame because she did put a downer on our stay Breakfast was always the same food everyday which by the end of our 2 week stay we were really bored of! we were served most days by Mr Antonio who was always polite and would check on us if we needed anymore he was the most loveliest member of staff. The hotel in general is quite dated and approx 30 mins walk from the city centre, we did get a bus pass which we used everyday as there is nothing to do in the area of the hotel. We used the pool everyday in the afternoon after we had been out for the day. On our final day we decided we would spend the day around the pool, beware lots of locals come along at the weekends and take advantage of the free pool all they have to do is buy a drink to get to use the pool this is a shame because it takes away exclusivity for the actual hotel guests. Another point to note is they advertise that they have 2 pools one indoor and one outdoor plus a sauna I was told they only have the outdoor pool maybe you need to update the information about your hotel on your website.
