  Very nice hotel in a beautiful location

  Stayed on a business trip so didn't get chance to explore or even use the lovely looking outdoor pool - but the views are just great. Friendly staff and good food. Rooms very clean and comfortable but no air con except in the main hotel and meeting rooms (as with most Austrian hotels that are not part of a major chain) so imagine it could get warm at night, although that said there was a nice breeze and didn't see any mozzies!

  Just one bad apple

  Good room, beds, very clean, lots of common space. Dining terrace with perhaps the most beautiful view of sunset. Excellent breakfast, for dinner the restaurant has small menu, but everything very tasty. For some reasons the hotel does not offer free coffee and tea either in the room nor anywhere else, no kettle in the room. Before the dinner they bring mandatory appetizer; it's extremely salty, not very good, you have no choice, and they charge for it. Pretty awkward way to add service charge to the bill. But our main problem was a waiter called George. He did not speak a word in English, was openly hostile, and constantly attempted petty revenge, for instance, denied access to a better table in empty restaurant.

  Friendly family run hotel

  Overall pleasant stay! Rooms a little uncomfortable in Summer as no air conditioning especially in the single rooms with the bed jammed against the wall in a large room. The toilets were rather odd being very high and once seated you can't touch the ground even if you are not an overly short person. The pugs were friendly. Food was good and the musician at dinner was good.

  Nice treat in wonderful surroundings

  Either for private or business workshops it invites you to enjoy or make the full out of business meeting. Very friendly staff, logically organised reception with screen showing meeting rooms occupancy. Coffee in abundance and specific treats can be furnished to support business meetings. Cleanliness is highest. Even small pond and children playground with a picturesque view of mountains, and small farm with horses in vicinity. Meals are OK, though I missed vegetable salad bar without dressings and there was no strudl (apple pie). Highly recommended for relaxing or productive stay.

  Pricey for what it is....

  Two main downsides here ...in very hot weather please note that rooms are not air-conditioned - to be fair to the hotel it is not expected to be 95 degrees very often , but it was when we were there . By keeping the shutters firmly shut during the day the worst of the heat can be kept away. Bit of a whiff in the shower until the water is run for a while . But... and quite a big but...there is no restaurant on a Sunday . I wish I had spotted this and would then have booked elsewhere. Why is this? No idea, but I think it is odd. And, when dinner is on ,a cover charge ... this is antiquated practice , usually found in Italy , and I don't like it and urge its removal. We ate out on the terrace anyway and there was no special place setting going on . But all the food was good ( lamb cevapcici = yum yum ), the location likewise, and the smallish pool very welcome in the heat . It is set up as a spa hotel/ business seminars/ weddings venue and is well run by a professional team. For TT though too many downsides considering the prices . 7.5 out of 10 in my book. A lovely view though....
