  Just ok

  Outside: very nicely located on the beach. Nice views, good restaurant. Inside: room #23-pretty small - no view, just the neighbours roof - ridiculously narrow bed (80 cm) 1 meter would have fitted easily.. No reading light next to the bed. Small TV with bad picture quality - no channel list. No effort of decoration. Breakfast from 8:00 only - that's ok for holidays but not for business travel

  Foodie place with sea view

  Cute small seaside hotel with restaurant right at the sea walk, family owned and very personal. The rooms are individuell equiped in country style, but no view, very nice breakfast. We are at the restaurant with sea view local fish dishes like Hamburger Pannfisch and Fish soup, Bitburger beer from tap, everything really good. Nice and friendly staff

  Great fish with a sea view

  We had lunch in this place. We choose it mainly because of the sea/beach view that it offers. But we were so positively surprised with the whole experience that we had in this place. The service super friendly and the food was great! Go for the sole it was marvelous.

  Cozy hotel directly situated at the Strandpromenade

  I love this little hotel. Have stayed here twice (in 2015 and August 2017). It is perfectly located directly at the promenade. The service is great, the staff makes you feel like family. The only drawback is the parking situation (there is no parking associated with the hotel unless you're lucky and one of the 4 spots in the back is open, but staff parks there and might block you in). There is public parking not too far away, but this time I had my friend with me how is 90% disabled due to a stroke some years ago. The staff was super nice though to try and get me the parking spot in the back. If you park on the street, you may get a ticket, but so far I have not received one, though I left the car there for several hours as well. The hotel is so perfectly situated and the two front rooms have stellar views of the beach and the steadily crossing ferries to scandinavia, that give you a cruise ship, worldly kind of feeling, that you don't have to ever go anywhere else. You can even have all meals right there on the patio across from the beach: breakfast, lunch, Kaffee und Kuchen and dinner. The food is good, the fish is fresh and locally sources mostly and the service is good. Thanks, mein Lieblingsplatz, die Strandperle!

  Cozy little hotel, right on the promenade. Superb staff!

  Great little hotel, super friendly and accommodating staff! The lady that greeted upon arrival told us that she'd completed her apprenticeship at the hotel that we just left in Schwerin! Which made total sense, as the staff our previous hotel were super friendly as well! We loved the little bar area on the ground floor, and the nice little restaurant out on the promenade is the perfect location to lounge and watch the tourists go by. The room was cozy and well equipped. And for you foodie travelers, there is a Michelin star restaurant (Balthazar) right next door! Unfortunately, Balthazar is closed on Monday night's, the only night that we were in Travemuende, so we weren't able to eat there. However, we were able to get a table at the beyond excellent Reethus in nearby Timmendorf. Stay at Lieblingsplatz, eat at Reethus. You will be very happy.
