  Couldn't fault this hotel, it is the best one we have ever stayed in during our many holidays to Greece. It is spotlessly clean, the daily maid service is excellent with sheets and towels (large fluffy ones) changed frequently. There is plenty of choice at breakfast which is served by the very friendly and efficient Betta. The garden is lovely and peaceful with different types of seating, and is rarely used by anyone during the day, probably because there is no pool bar. Likewise the swimming pool is hardly used so I enjoyed my daily swim with the pool to myself. We had room 206 on the second floor at the front of the hotel which overlooks the town with views of the sea, balconies are a good size, the rooms at the front get the sun in the afternoon and those at the back overlooking the garden get the sun in the morning. Although there was a bit of road noise at the front I preferred this side as there is plenty to look at from the balcony, and with the doors shut overnight with the free aircon, this wasn't a problem. Again the shower is the best we have had in Greece, plenty of hot water and no leaking onto the floor. The hotel is only a few minutes walk in either direction to the old harbour or port, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. We didn't try the hotel's bistro as it closed during our second week, but were told it is good. Panos the manager was always friendly. There is a lift in the hotel and rooms have free WiFi, aircon, fridge, kettle and safety deposit boxes. Definitely a cut above most Greek hotels of similar price bracket.

  Beautiful Place

  We were greated by a kind and helpful staff, eager to assist us whenever neccessary in order to enjoy our stay here. There was a more than fair price for the comfortable accomodation we had receiced, while the hotel's location is excellent (a 2-minute walk to the city's old area that neighbours the seaside). To sum up, we were very pleased for having booked a reservation here!

  Great location in Thassos town

  Lovely little hotel, spotlessly clean comfy beds and really nice decor. Would stay here again if visiting Thassos Town as close to the beach and all the good bars and restaurants.We had a great week's holiday here.

  Greek Magic

  Another wonderful holiday in Greece. This time we stayed on a gem of an island....Thassos! The hotel Lido is a small family run establishment right in the heart of Thassos town. Spotlessly clean, small pool, very friendly staff.....the real deal when it comes to Greek hospitality.

  Hotel Lido Thassos town

  We stayed at the Hotel Lido in Thassos town for two weeks in September. The location to this hotel is perfect. A short walk to the beach and also to the shops and restaurants. The Hotel Lido is a really nice hotel. The lovely lady who oversees breakfast, Elizabeth is just such pleasant lady and so helpful. The only niggle I have about this hotel is the beds . Our room 202 had what seemed to be a double, but seemed small,. It was so hard I woke up each morning aching. This was the only niggle as the rest of the hotel was great, including the lift, handy when you have cases to 'lugg' around. Thassos town and the whole island are just perfect for a relaxing holiday.
