Avoid it!!!It is not a hotel!!! Just a shabby bed and breakfast. No reception, just an old guy being receptionist, janitor, buttler, cook. The room was cold (even if outside were 0°C). The bathroom is dark having one low power bulb hidden in a kitschy luminaire. WiFi as good as unexisting. There is only one parking spot in the yard. Every time I wanted to drive in or out, the old man had to come and unlock the gate. The breakfast is served on a plate by the old guy in the very bedroom. My bedroom was in a small house somewhere in the backyard. The payment was supposed to be done cash!!! After I protested, the guy accepted to use the POS. But as he wasn't able, he called another guy who came after 30min and didn't greet, nor said a word. The neighborhood is at least dubious. No added value for the price asked. At least it was clean and the old guy was friendly.

Not really a hotel, more like bed and breakfast with a few limitationIt's a very basic and simple bed and breakfast. The owner who deals with the guests is very kind but doesn't speak English which makes it very hard. For example, before arriving we had asked about a vegetarian breakfast because we realized you were served a set breakfast. We were told it was possible, but when we arrived we got a lot of meat. Also, when we left it was impossible to ask him to help us get a taxi for the airport so we had to wait about 30 minutes because there were very few taxis around. As for the room it was dated and the linens were very old. It was also very cold, the heaters wouldn't turn on and we couldn't ask for help or another blanket because of the language. Location is very good because it's very close to the city center and the attractions. In summary, I would recommend to look for something else. For a couple of nights you can survive, but just be aware that it has its limitations.

Very Decent PlaceWe enjoyed our stay here and felt very safe as there is a locked gate. Our bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Wifi was a bit patchy but there was an electrical storm going on. Location is good off the main boulevard and across the street from the market. The owner is a retired engineer who unfortunately doesnt know English but hes very kind and very present. The breakfast, served to the room, was really good and included crepes.

Excellent Value for the moneyPleasant, clean, quiet, centrally located, however, wifi a little shaky. The owner speaks a little English, but we were able to communicate. Added plus - eating breakfast outside in the cool of the morning in a loverly garden area and (for me) a large breakfast, just not continental as stated in description. There is a locked gate so getting in is a little tricky especially late at night. I would recommend highly.

comfortable, friendly, affordable hotel in ChisinauDuring my recent visit to Chisinau, I had occasion to stay in Hotel Lidia. It is a simple hotel, friendly, affordable, and quite clean. Family run. For those interested in Jewish travel, it is very close to the functioning synagogue. I do caution -- they do not accept credit cards, which means you need to come equipped with cash, or get to an ATM quickly -- but if you know this in advance, it is fine. I recommend.
