  Very, very basic

  Definitely would not want more than one night here, rooms are extremely basic which generally is fine although the bathrooms made for interesting review. Pretty much added into the room with some makeshift walling, no light in there and no door (hence no light I imagine!) this is manageable but not the most comfortable! The hotel is situated on the main road which is fine but noisy with the window open. A good 30/40 minute walk into La Rochelle centre, I'd say overpriced for what it is and compared to the other places we stayed on our holiday!

  Poor customer service

  I arrived at the hotel yesterday evening. I'd already paid via booking.com so I was a bit surprised when the guy at reception asked me to pay again! I showed him a print out of the booking.com confirmation which clearly stated that the room had been paid for but he refused to look at it and became quite rude because of my poor French and he insisted I pay. After travelling all day I was tired and this was the last thing I expected or wanted so I saw no other option but to pay again and then try to get my money back from booking.com. I paid cash and asked him for a receipt but he just told me he would give it to me later and ushered me away. Of course I wasn't going anywhere without a receipt so I just sat down in reception. Then another guy showed up, called booking.com and instructed the first guy to give me my money back which he reluctantly did. I can accept an honest mistake, but it was the attitude of the hotel staff which shocked me. At no point did anyone offer me any apology!

  A bit of a disappointment

  We came travelling from the far north to La Rochelle for very special reasons. We found a Hotel with a very nice guy in the reception- but also a place quite far from the center/the harbour. A place with a noisy road outside, a nice clean room with a good bed and shower, a very sugary breakfast and not at all the La Rochelle visit we had expected. But that's our problem- and the hotel is worth a fair 3. Nice room, nice receptionist - but we could have been without being called to deliver our key one hour before check-out time...

  A lot to improve

  Pros: With late arrival the staff still managed to leave the key from the room. Free parking is available too. Staff are pretty friendly but only speak in french Cons: Note left along with the key was in French and was very obvious from booking information I'm not french speaker. The hotel is located right on a main road and was impossible to sleep because of the noise even with windows closed. Room was way too hot and because of the noise couldn't have the window opened. Sink and shower are both clogged. Way to expensive for what you get

  Un poco cutre

  En las fotos tenía mucha mejor apariencia que la realidad. La cama no es nada cómoda, el baño es diminuto y las habitaciones que dan a la calle son muy ruidosas. Es difícil descansar en este hotel, aunque el personal es agradable.
