  Great location for Verdun, Meuse-Argonne.

  We stayed one night during a history driving trip. Location and parking were very convenient. Motel style with pleasant, average style room. Comfortable and quiet. Low-mid price. Breakfast not included but available - we stopped at a nearby boulangerie.

  What a gem!

  The photos on Booking.com and TripAdvisor don't really do it justice. On the main road from Verdun with a large flat car park. As usual the check-in machine didn't work, but a call to the hotel number bought the patron immediately. Very friendly, had us booked in within minutes (thankfully as the temperature had risen to 38 and we were in full motorcycle gear!). No aircon, but the weather was bizarrely hot, but a large airy room with a separate toilet and shower room. Plenty of hot water, towels and free toiletries. Larger than average, fabulously comfortable bed and pillows. Two bottles of water, very appreciated and a fridge. No English television but very good wifi. Breakfast was typical buffet with fresh fruit, cereal, bread and pastries. We also had dinner in their restaurant. Very friendly, English speaking host. Good choices. Buffet then trout for him, chicken for me and fresh fruit for dessert. Reasonable price and well worth it. This is straight into our top three of hotels. Will definitely return

  Not bad at all

  Friendly staff and a clean bijou room with a small shower and separate toilet - lots of coffee/tea facilities - although it looks from the pictures to be on a busy road it was actually very quiet. Handy for Douamont sites and Verdun itself.

  Handy for Verdun and battlefield sites

  The welcome we received was lovely and the hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. The facilities are basic but functional and our rooms though a bit spartan were warm and comfortable enough for three nights. The rooms were well-serviced and cleaned daily. It is a value hotel. Breakfast is a basic affair and I hope they try to improve the offering. Dinner is served in the restaurant over the road - the menu is OK but uninspiring and limited (like most of France it seems!) for vegetarians. However the staff were quite happy to put a veggie meal together for me even though it wasn't on the menu. We only had dinner there on one night, choosing to go into town for the rest. It's a good location for seeing all the Verdun battlefield sites and I'd recommend it for adults for a couple of nights but perhaps not for kids. TV is limited to French channels, so download stuff to your phone or ipad before you go. I'd stay there again if I was on a budget but if I wanted something a bit more fancy I'd stay in town (but probably pay a lot more)

  A very nice restaurant

  This restaurant is really close to the place where the battle of Verdun started. The place has been recommanded to us by the manager of the Tranchée de Chattancourt. Very nice welcome and dinner. Yet, it's better to book in advance on weekdays.
