    Comfortable and quiet

Our comfortable top floor room opened out onto a small balcony which faced out onto a quiet part of this charming town. There is no lift and we didn't see any staff in the accommodation building, but breakfast in La Vielle Auberge was an enjoyable experience with friendly and attentive service, good food and a nice ambience. It is a very short walk into intriguing set of small streets that offer some excellent bars and restaurants.

    Nice hotel, newly remodeled

You can tell the hotel was newly remodeled. very clean. Charming location in the old city close to the river. Large Balcony (view on the river or the hills/pool) The rooms on the river are a little loud. if you need silence, request the view on the pool. I loved the breakfast. Everything is home made (The lemon cake and walnut cake are to die for) The staff was nice. The Wifi wasn't working. it's a recurrent problem unfortunately.

    Great town, poor service

When we arrived we were confused: the entrance is not at the hotel Quercy but at the hotel in the next building. At the hotel Quercy there was a man who was supposed to handle the bar at the reception but it was all the time at the couch, watching a giant TV and sometimes eating in front of it. Every time I wanted to drink something I just walked to some bar or shop in the town. When we arrived the lady at the reception of the other building was on the phone. She kept staying on the phone for circa 10 minutes while we were waiting. I do not think it was speaking with a client (she had a colloquial tone, not the tone used in French to address a client) so I found that not great. She showed our room... on the third floor without elevator. No A/C. Internet was available but so slow there was no point in using it. We stopped a couple of time at the reception to ask information but no one was there. Also at the time of the check out we had to wait until someone arrived and we could finally leave. The only positive place is the town. However there are so many other hotels in the town, so why staying in this one?

Our room was not great. Very noisy. But the pool was great and most welcome.

We were unfortunate to get a room facing the street, so late night traffic sounds were a proplem. The hotel has a small sports bar at ground level so we were able to watch the football whist having drinks there. The place was well located for the commencement of our cycling tour of the Dordogne.

Nothing I didnt like about this hotel

I wasnt sure what to expect from this hotel, but to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The hotel to look at is nothing amazing, but the manager, the location and the feeling you get when you stay here are all superb. My room wasnt particularly large, but the bed was comfy, it had everything I needed and it was spotless. The hotel has a small bar with a few drinks, however if quiet the manager will happily get what you want from the bar next door for you. The pool is a nice addition and I enjoyed lying on a sunbed here and relaxing. I was staying on a half board option. The food I had for dinner was some of the best I have ever tasted. Everything is beautifully presented and the staff are exceptional. I hope to return soon as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
