    Real pool

The room we stayed in overlooked the Mediterranean. The only downside was that it was kind of small and outdated but the view made up for it. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The bistro and restaurant located at the hotel were both very good. The breakfast was very good as well. The pool area was beautiful and enjoyable to spend time at. Definitely would recommend.

    Woderful hotel

This was our second visit to Le Provencal.Again it was brilliant. The room was not large but has brilliant sea views and all amenities. The sunday buffet de poisson is a must and the bistro food is good.Across the road the hotel has set up a bar which is also good. But the star attraction is the pool and the sea which are better than the photos. At lunch you can retire to the barbeque in a shady spot with great views. As one local remarked to us -this town and the hotel are hidden gems.

    Gorgeous Getaway

Many years ago, when the former chef of Paris' famed Lido was the proprietor, I visited Le Provencal and resolved to return one day with my true love. In September, I finally made the trip back. The hotel is still run by the same family, and the founders' grandchildren have retained the charm and warmth that kept this hotel in my heart for all these years. Our hosts were so gracious, and we wanted for nothing except air conditioning, which we didn't miss after the first day. Breakfast was a highlight; relaxing on the terrace overlooking the sparkling sea ~ nibbling on mouthwatering fresh brioche with homemade fig jam and sampling the beautiful array of fresh breads, cereals, fruits, yogurt, meats, and cheeses. Best of all - their magnificent salt water swimming pool nestled into the cliffs - which is accessed by a stroll through terraced gardens. At night the fine dining room offers the cheese selection one dreams of when visiting France and Instagram worthy desserts. Be sure to reserve your table ahead!

    Unfriendly hotel staff

Unfriendly receptionist and restaurant staff. Hotel state is old and toilets are not cleaned properly. Not recommended to stay or eat here. Only positive aspect of the hotel is the view, which you can also enjoy at another place.

    DISAPOINTING TO AVOID

What a disappointing experience we initially booked 4 nights and we decided to leave after the 2nd night Beside the exceptional setting of the location and the sea view, the hotel and its installations are in VERY POOR condition of maintenance and in dilapidation: -Rooms are VERY smelly, not clean, very aged -Bathroom disgusting (see pictures) -Lobby and communal very aged and falling apart -Communal toilets not cleaned daily (see picture) Parc down the hotel is beautiful however the installation belonging to the hotel and residence are just embarrassing: -Tennis court unusable (not maintained and slippery) -Swimming pool is dirty, VERY RUSTY (due to sea water) and has cracks everywhere -All surrounding installations are very very old and falling apart Restaurants: -Breakfast is average -We didnt try lunch and dinner at La Rascasse it wasnt inviting at all -In the parc: both the bar de la plage and the restaurant were closed we havent been informed about this with our booking confirmation therefore when you are down by the pool or in the parc, there were no food and beverages service Customer service: -We were well received at our check in, and we appreciated this. -The first night we got a room on the -1 level which is just below the terrace of the restaurant. Therefore we couldnt fall asleep because of noise from the operations of the restaurant and we got woke up very early due to the reopening basically a terrible 1st night. Luckily the reception staff kindly changed our room for the 2nd night (a smaller, less nice view but we didnt have the choice). -Just before the 2nd night we informed reception staff about our intention to leave next day as the hotel is not up to the expectations. -The manager in duty very much challenged our feedback . But did offered us to sell back the remaining 2 nights in order to refund us. I didnt also request an alternative compensation if the 2 nights were not sold. -Up to today we didnt hear ANYTHING from the hotel, despite my request, being informed that they will reach out, and despite my email 2 days ago. -PS: the manager did confirm that they are aware that the hotel needs renovations . And argued that we paid our rate with a 20% discount for this reason. This is a very low class and shameful argument since this discounted rate was clearly a promotional offer due to the limited flexibility of that rate within the context of the current pandemic In conclusion, this was a very disappointing experience, we would not recommend it to anyone despite its breath-taking setting, and the customer service left us so bitter that even when the renovations are completed, we will never come back or promote this place. The family running this institution should be ashamed. I will not be surprised to see a public answer of this feedback with the same arrogant tone and shameless attitude than for the previous negative feedback received
