  Buscaba un hotel céntrico con piscina y buena calidad/precio. He tenido anteriores experiencias con la cadena hotelera y me da confianza. Además por confirmar con antelación me han hecho un importante descuento.

  Lovely views, clean air.

  We had never been to Le Mont Dore before and had no idea of what to expect. The top hotels all seemed to be full or overpriced as this was a French holiday. We were lucky to get the last room available at Le Panorama. What a happy outcome! Most of the hotels are in the center which is so polluted, noisy and congested that we blessed our luck. This hotel is on the "other" side of the mainstream, high on the hill with beautiful views of the valley and town (we had a Chambre Vallee). Best of all was the fresh, clean air and the quiet. Being a five minute walk from the hustle and bustle of an extremely touristy town was an advantage rather than a disadvantage. Our room was pleasant and adequate. The hotel has a smallish bar/lounge/restaurant area which is quite welcoming and pleasant although we didn't eat there as there are some quite well regarded restaurants in the town and we had only the one night otherwise we may well have tried the hotel's fare. We did have breakfast in the hotel which was in the fairly standard French style, not very difficult to present and quite pleasant. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, there was a small problem with our booking which the receptionist was able to solve and which was the fault of the online booking agency and we would book direct the next time. There is no doubt that should we visit Le Mont Dore again this is where we wold stay.

  They asked us to upgrade our reservation because of our 2 years old

  We reserved a 2 adults room that we had to upgrade for a family suite for a baby (2 years old) that only sleeps with us. We paid 130/night but for 2 stars conditions: smal shower cabin, old decoration ... you can see that they don't invest! Good breackfast for an extra 12/pers.

  A room with a view

  Perched on the side of a valley with views over the town rooftops to the surrounding mountains, this hotel is well-named. Our 'superior' room was large, well-equipped and furnished with a king size bed. The enclosable balcony was a nice touch. The only thing that was less than superior was a modern but very poorly designed shower with no door which ensured that the floor of the en suite flooded every time the shower was used. There is a heated and enclosed pool with access to a terraced lawn for sun bathing, and a restaurant with outside dining terrace where we enjoyed a leisurely evening meal. There was a buffet breakfast bar with a very wide selection of ingredients to choose from, including DIY fried eggs. At 13 this was above average for petit dejeuner, but nevertheless good value for a meal that could set you up for the day. Staff encountered were all very pleasant and keen to practise their English. A slightly more expensive hotel than our usual, but the accommodation and facilities (except the shower!) were of a standard commensurate with the price.

  Ideal setting for Massif de Sancy in Auvergne

  Close to the exciting city center and as a hub for exploration tours in the great massif, this hotel is offering a heated indoor swimming pool (and sauna) on a separate floor. Free on-site parking in front.
