  Short, fantastic experience.

  My wife and I, in Corsica for our ten years wedding anniversary stopped at Belgodere for a bit to eat, on our way to Lumio, when we stumbled upon a sign to this little hotel. The owners were an extremely warm, welcoming couple. We enjoyed fantastic freshly cooked Corsican food with desert. When the owners found out why we were in Corsica, they offered us wine on the house and even called our next hotel and arranged a free room upgrade. Wonderful view, wonderful food, and a feeling that you are amongst friends - what more could one ask for? We would highly recommend this hotel, based on our short experience!

  Unforgettable and perfect

  I would recommend Le Niobel to anyone traveling to La Balagne. My husband and I went here for our honeymoon trip and stayed for a week. The hotel is perfectly situated in the lovely town of Belgodère, which is calm and gorgeous but central to everything. It's close to at least three beaches (we loved the beach at Algajola), L'Île Rousse, and Calvi, along with all of the beautiful must-see villages in La Balagne, like Pigna and Sant'Antonino. Jacqueline is a marvelous hostess. I'll never forget how kind, warm, and helpful she was. It made our trip so wonderful. Thank you! The breakfast was huge and delicious -- how wonderful to dine on the beautiful balcony of Le Niobel with a stunning panorama of the mountains, beaches and sea. The room was clean and comfortable. Great comfy matress and pillows, modern bathroom and shower. I have no complaints, only praise for this place. I would recommend to anyone and hope to return someday soon. Go stay at Le Niobel!

  Awesome location and staff for an unforgettable experience!!

  The hotel is located in Belgoder, a mountain village in Central Corsica. The rooms are super comfortable, with awesome bed, full of little details and super well decorated. The staff was super nice, helpful and attentive. I traveled there with my godmother, whos 80 and dont speak anything but Spanish and the people of the hotel made an amazing effort to understand her and make her feel like at home. We had dinner and the terrace with amazing views of the mountains. Very nice house-made food. All-in-all 100% recommendable!!

  Lovely family run hotel with views to die for !

  I stayed at the Niobel 16 years ago and really enjoyed the experience, so I thought I'd return again this year - it's a no frills rural hotel, offering modest rooms which are clean, well equipped and comfortable - our room had a lovely balcony and the location and views are superb. My only gripe is that Corsica has become an expensive venue these days and prices are high - our 3 night B & B stay including 3 evening meals (for 2 people) cost me well over 700 euros, which I think is a bit steep ! We ate dinner and breakfast on the verandah - the food is truly excellent and the dishes are prepared by the very talented young chef from Lille, Chef Aubin - a young man on his way to a Michelin star one day I think ! Jacqueline the owner is lovely and very attentive - nothing is too much trouble ! Belgodere is a super hilltop village and a great base for touring Northern Corsica, and I would highly recommend the Hotel Niobel !!
