Excellent Location- - Gorgeous SuiteThis unique hotel has so much to offer. The beach and miles of walking combined with a great pool. Couldn't find the towels- found out you are supposed to bring them from your room. We had an excellent meal here with towers of seafood all fresh and so well presented. This restaurant has an extensive wine list. A great combination with excellent biking right out front with miles of trails. Terrific views of the ocean and big fat moon.

Not as expectedFirst the hotel has a great location and very good facilities with pool jacuzzi etc.. Nice ocean vews from the room, modern fixtures and fittings, nice big comfortable bed... Now some parts can feel a bit dated with paint peeling of the walls and dammaged floors but you can overlook that. Unfortunatelly you cannot overlook the cheap nasty toilet paper and the lack of good toiletries; you find better stuff at a budget Ibis most of the time. We were given internet codes for our different devices but by 11pm it was not working anymore until we left the next day at 11am. Why not be honest and let your customers know in advance you don't have a reliable source of internet. The room costing 300 Euros it seemed a bit overpriced. You can get the same facilities and an executive room with ocean vews in the Novotel down the road for 100 Euro less.

Not up to my expectationsMy excitement for this hotel was dashed shortly after I arrived when they told me the reservationthat was made more than six months agohad been messed up. Their excuse was that the person I talked to then no longer worked there. I had reserved their best panoramic room. But, they did have an acceptable room, and then moved us to the other room on the second day. However, my problem with this hotel is that is a very expensive hotel which is run like an average Holiday Inn. We carried our own bags, the extra-cost breakfast was scrambled eggs & pastry, and room service was essentially non existent. The staff was, lets say, indifferent to having our business. The only reason to stay here is the view of the Atlantic. See photo.

Over Priced Hotel - Not Worth Staying InWe arrived at the hotel and during the check-in process I asked if I could book a table in the restaurant that evening? I was then informed that the restaurant was closed in January 2019. I then showed the woman the various web pages showing food that was served in the restaurant and the chef's comments on the food. I was then informed that it was not the hotel's problem that various websites were showing the hotel had a restaurant including Booking.Com. I explained that due to my wife's disability that we booked the hotel based on the fact it could handle disabled guests and that there was a restaurant which meant we did not have to try and find local restaurants that were disabled friendly. She then said they could book a table for us at a restaurant they could recommend, I pointed out that it would have to cater for disabled people which she said it did. The restaurant turned out to be 25 minutes drive away and was not disabled friendly. On our return to the hotel I said we wished to cancel our stay the following day. She said I should contact Booking.com which I did and explained the situation. They contacted the hotel and it was left for me to meet with the owner at 08:30 the following day. We asked if the bar was open? she said yes and asked what we wanted? My wife asked for a gin and tonic, only to be told there was no gin, she then had to settle for a vodka and tonic. I asked for a cider but was told there was none and had to settle for a local red beer. We had booked a room with sea view and balcony, we got the sea view but the balcony was to small to use. The only balcony that you could sit on was overlooking a roof. The toilet was extremely small, bath in middle of room, shower OK. I turned up at 08:30 the following day and spoke to a new receptionist who was far more professional and understanding. She said the owner was not coming in until 09:00. We went for breakfast which was good. After breakfast she said she had spoken to the owner who agreed we could book out without any cancellation fee. Something should be done to ensure hotels only show facilities that are available, how can people booking rely on information being displayed?

Absolutely not a 4 star hotel! Disappointing! With the rooms prices and the 4 stars I expected something else: nothing in this hotel equals a 4 stars hotel except maybe the pool and outdoor garden area. Indeed, the view on the ocean is breathtaking... IF you have the right room! Otherwise its really not worth it. The common areas arent memorable. In the rooms you can hear the road, the elevator, other guests inside and outside. The bathroom doesnt have walls (and I was there with my family so that was an issue) and theres no where to hang wet towels. The robe (despite the fact that it was wrapped) had lipstick marks inside the sleeves. You can only log in to the WiFi with 2 devices per room which I find poor. The furnitures arent meeting my expectation either for this price. The restaurant was closed this year and this was a big disappointment. Nevertheless the breakfast is luckily available and again almost not meeting the 4 stars expectations. Except for the pastries and bakery products, the products arent of high quality and appear to belong more to a school cafeteria (which goes for the trays). The gym is quite small and in the middle of the corridor so everybody can look at you train. Theres no yoga mat for stretching or floor workout. The pool area is gorgeous, and thats the prettiest place of the hotel. The view is beautiful, the water is great and the atmosphere is lovely and relaxing. I spent a lot of time there. Besides all of those remarks, the staff was polite and welcoming and helpful, the hotel was very clean and the location is super nice. The beach (which isnt private) is awesome and very close.
