Mixed feelingsWell located hotel close to the main square. Very friendly staff helpfull in finding a safe solution fo our bikes. Rooms special and maybe not to everyones liking but we were pleased with the decor. Most stuff is not put up straight so if something is a little awkward in the room it might be on purpose, who will tell. Temperature control in the room is not possible from inside the room so this is not a plus. It was simply too hot and we couldn't change the setpoint. Apparently after 21:00 you have to switch to yet another system but we didn't try to get to grips with that system. Breakfast is OK but not worth 13 euro. Go get a coffee and a croissant in a nice bar in town. Only after staying there we found out the hotel has a sauna. Maybe that should be mentioned by the staff at check in because we didn't see any signs and it would have been great to enjoy a sauna after a nice bike ride in the area. For those interested, just follow the "voie verte" along the Meusse river. Nice path. Best is to follow the one going north. Parking in front comes to 7 euro is arranged at the reception of the hotel. Bottom-line : if you can get a good deal on the room-rate, not bad. (Official room rate displayed is 159 euro which is definitely not worth it. We paid 78 euro (not including breakfast) which is correct for this room.

Excellent hotel!I would have given this hotel five stars, the only reason why I haven't is because they were. Wanting 13 each for breakfast ! We opted not to take it and was pleased we didn't. The hotel on the Main Street around the corner from this hotel, allows non residents to eat here for 7 each. That's what we did. Not sure if it's name but it's on the left, last hotel before turning into hotels street. Parking was 6 . Loved the hotel and staff, but I'm sure if they didn't charge as much for breakfast, a lot more people would partake

We'll revisitExtraordinary decoration, good rooms, somewhat small. Good airco. Just across the railway station, and rather close to the center of the city. Very helpful personnel. Breakfast is OK for French standards.

Fantastic hotel and a great locationWe just came back from a long weekend biking and we had 7 rooms here! The hotel was spot on, the staff were helpful and friendly, rooms clean and the hotel well located for a walk to lots of restaurants and the train station if you need to travel. We had motorbikes and there was a large car park opposite with barriers and cctv! We had the continental breakfast which personally Im not normally a fan of but I have to say it was really good. Fresh food, cheeses, hams, fruit and the French bread was to die for! It was all very good and none of us had a single complaint! We would return for sure.

Nice hotel but some significant faultsWe booked a night here while in Charleville. There was a very warm welcome and things about the hotel were explained and the arrangement for car parking. The rooms were nice and quite quirky but too much style over substance. I'm glad I was in the room alone because even using the lavatory, there would be only the most minimal privacy. The major feature lacking in the room was a power point to charge a phone overnight. There was one in the bathroom, one by the floor at the bathroom door and another in a corner of the room away from the bed, none suitable for something that is, these days a basic requirement. The bed was comfortable and things like the water pressure in the bathroom good. There was unfortunately a lot of noise from rooms above and below which included things like being able to hear electronic blinds being opened and closed and any footsteps or running water were as loud as they were in my own room. I woke up way to early with the noise from an adjoining room. Breakfast is a disappointment. There was not a croissant to be seen and just about everything was prepackaged. Others have commented on the price and I agree, it's not worth 13, in fact 13 is theft. It might be worth 5 or 6 but certainly not the price that is charged. The room is also poor and has a very loud television complete with breakfast news on so loud it was difficult to have a conversation. I enjoyed one night enough but was glad it was not two and nor would I return for the reasons outlined.
