  A lovely stay

  A traditional French hotel, with a very warm welcome. We had a very nice room, bit on the small side, but beautiful bathroom and a really wonderful terrace overlooking the Loire, the perfect place to relax after a long drive with a bottle of chilled Pouilly Fume. The restaurant is lovely, with delicious food and superb front of house staff. My one small caveat would be that they don't speak as much English as you might expect from their advertising, but as one of us speaks French, this wasn't a problem. In any event, our non French speaker was able to get their message across in the end without too much trouble... Would definitely go back.

  Lunch on the loire

  What a fab lunch we had! We had cycled from Sancerre looking for a place for lunch and arrived here from the river side. Lovely garden and terrace overlooking the Loire and sat beneath the trees in the cool shade. We had the 19 lunch and could not fault. From the extra apertizer through to the end, the meal and service were perfect. Good wine recommendation too. Do try it and sit outside if possible,,so French! Afterwards we cycled back to Sancerre, slightly heavier!

  hotel by the loire

  this was the first stop of our holidays having driven from Caen the accommodation was very good, food and wine excellent, the weather when we arrived was very good and we where looking forward to eating outside under the trees looking straight down to the river Loire. tables were laid everybody sat down and the wind got up and the staff moved everybody back inside, this was very well done and we continued with our meal " well done everybody "

  Ok but

  The hotel has a beautiful setting along the river bed. Our room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. But we found the food really overpriced. Dinner was ok but not top. Wine, water, food all Too expensive. We did not receive a free water caraf. Breakfast was very good. We choose not to return

  Sunset Over The Loire

  Comfortable, clean room with all facilities. We had dinner and breakfast - all excellent. Dinner was served on the terrace, with a view down to the nearby Loire river and the sunset concluded a perfect evening. Staff were friendly and very helpful, one of our party required gluten-free food and this was provided with no hesitation or query when ordering. Across the road from the hotel was a cave for the local Pouilly wines, it was a temptation that could not be resisted. Our car groaned as this reviewer, reluctantly, loaded the boxes.
