  Good quality hotel,Superb location, great view and close to nearby port, and really great for couples and families

  Perched up on a hill over looking sea - this standard hotel has a great location in that you great views of the sea, whilst in a short distance to the beautiful port of Sauzon. The hotel itself was very clean, all the facilities required, excellent pool and hot-tub (overlooking sea) and the restaurant had fantastic buffet dinner - it was not a luxury stay, but with friendly and helpful staff it was a very enjoyable stay and good value for money

  A lovely place at a fair price

  I thought i had already reviewed this but hey ho! The island is a treat , old fashioned really but a peaceful well kept place wit nice coastline and a good selection of hotels. If you can get in ,le cardinal is a great deal.. with a wonderful fish buffet.

  From hell to heaven

  Hell - Upon arrival we were given room 248, with seaview. The room was in the 80 year stile very run down. In addition in the evening we realised that the room just above the restaurant and isolation was not the best. In the evening we complained, but no alternative was available as the hotel was booked out due to high season. We heavy hearthed slept in the 80s room. Heaven - The following day the receptionist gave us a new room 230, which is situated in the side building. Surprise, surprise, this room was calm, newly renovated. We arrived in the 2k :-) Beautiful room, lots of light, calm, a dream. We were told afterwards that the previous room was to be renovated in winter 2017. The bottom line: + Very friendly and helpful service personnel at the reception +breakfast with crêpe and galettes +perfect location beautiful view and calm (if you get the right room)

  Great location

  Staff are all friendly and quite low key. No upselling, tried to find out about the restaurant but no menus around and they couldnt tell me at reception. Room quite small and basic ( no fridge or frills ) but clean and with a large terrace area. Pool side and reception area lovely to sit around, with jacuzzi with a great view. Access to a little cove to swim in the sea. Breakfast is expensive especially for Brits with poor exchange rate . But it is stocked with lovely produce and made to order galettes . Would be good to have orders taken from the table rather than have to queue for 10 minutes ....and longer if you stand in the wrong place . Excellent location and having cycled all around the Ile , Sauzon is a beautiful harbour well located with just about the range of cafes/ grocers you need . A relaxing stay ....thanks

  Pretty much ticked all the boxes

  Just finished our two day visit to the hotel. Our room was clean, spacious enough and the view from our terrasse had superb views of the sea. The staff that we encountered were all very polite and all of them said hello which is great. The breakfast was of a good standard. We didnt try the evening buffet as not really fans of seafood but it seemed to be extremely popular. The jacuzzi and pool are in a fab setting towering over the coastline with temperatures at 34 degrees. I could of sat in it all day. All in all, would highly recommend this place as its only a short walk to the small village of Sauzon where there is a wide choice of eateries.
