  Quite expensive for a **

  Clean, quiet, excellent breakfast with local products but a little too expensive... Oh, and it smell of fresh paint everywhere.

  Excellent experience

  We were very pleased with the Logis Le Bourbon. Everything about the hotel was fresh and new and the owners were clearly working very hard to give their guests a good experience. As others have mentioned it's perhaps a little on the pricey side but it surpassed our needs and the town was worth a look around on market day. We stayed a second night as the weather was not very nice for motorcycling. There was a huge Market on Thursday morning which set up in the square opposite so there was quite a bit of noise from 4am onwards. Not a disaster but worth knowing.

  Winter break and meal

  We stayed at Le Bourbon from Friday 6th February to Tuesday 10th February 2015. This is a small family run hotel in Yssingeaux. The hotel is well situated on the square - the rooms are warm, clean and brightly decorated. We thought the hotel was a bit over priced at 70 euros per night. There were no facilities in the room for making hot drinks, so we had to purchase a kettle etc. The breakfast was plentiful but not included in the price. The couple that run the hotel have 2 very small children that are left to run around the breakfast room, I could see that some people would be unhappy about this situation. The hotel is well known for its food and it was certainly very good if not again a bit expensive. The village of Yssingeaux is a pretty village which was covered in snow when we were there, it is well situated for visits to the foot hills of the Alps which were amazing and the towns of St Etienne and Le Puy-en-Velay.

  Ideally located, clean, best bfast table ever

  Nice little hotel, sound proof, ideally located and very clean. The stairs to go upstairs are a bit stiff and the bathroom we had had a shower which was a little DIY but overall a very pleasant experience. The breakfast quality is second to none, with local products and an excellent quality of coffee. Value for money: unbeatable.

  Charming Hotel, Gracious Hosts

  We traveled to Yssingeaux for a wedding, and a number of us stayed at Le Bourbon. The location is ideal. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, and we could easily dress for an event. Our room had a bathtub only with a handheld sprayer (which seemed to be an exception), so we were able to make it work. The friendly host/owners graciously handled our large group, handling the logistics beautifully. They take pride in their hotel and work hard to provide their guests a wonderful stay. Breakfast (extra charge) had a thoughtful choice of meat and cheese. We needed a bottle of wine to go with a quick lunch that we were eating offsite, and their offerings were very good. We also had a large group dinner the evening before the wedding. The food and service were excellent. I would return here for dinner again. Not all of the staff speak English well, but communication is not a problem.
