  Simple and excellent value

  Stayed on my own for two nights while working in Torrita. La Stazione is run by two friendly brothers with the patience to teach me a little italiano during my stay. Although food isn't available over the weekend there is an excellent take away pizza place a couple of minutes away. The rooms are basic but very clean, although there can be some traffic noise. if you want good value accommodation in Torrita, give it a go.

  Fantastic

  We had a fantastic time while staying at La Stazione. We spent every day exploring different hill towns and areas in Tuscany and it was wonderful to be able to get back to a family run hotel that was away from the touristy towns. We would relax outside with a drink before enjoying great home made food by Mama and the family. Delicious food. The room was very clean and comfortable (small like most Tuscan hotel rooms). TV, a desk, and a good size bathroom with shower and a comfortable bed with a good size wardrobe was all that we needed. A typical Tuscan Breakfast was included in the price. Dinner starts only at 7:30pm, again typical for the area. Every day one of the two brothers who co-own the hotel would give us great advice on where to go and what to see. Be aware that because they are a hotel used by many locals, they speak Italian. Only one of the owners speaks French as well (Andrea), but no English. We had no problem getting by with our French. Also the evening kitchen is closed on Saturday and Sunday. We were told by friends, that there is never a lack of water in the summer (compared to some water problems in hill towns).   Lovely Stay!

  My boyfriend and I were on our way from Rome back to our home in the north when we decided to stop and found this lovely hotel to stay at. The manager was so helpful, we called very late and got a bit lost. The hotel is really clean and has very comfy beds! I would really recommend this hotel! Even in the morning, the manager had our breakfast waiting for us even though we were a little bit later then everyone else! Wonderful, quick stay!
