  Acogedor y limpio

  El hotel está muy bien ubicado, las habitaciones son amplias, limpias y muy acogedoras. La comida del restaurante es bastante buena y el personal es muy amable. Fuimos con niños, tienen un área de juegos con personas de apoyo y bastante tolerantes con ellos. La cocineta está totalmente equipada para cocinar. Tienen sauna y vapor, muy agradables y limpios. En el baño hay artículos de higiene personal de buena calidad y los resurten diariamente. Sin embargo, me parece elevado el costo.

  Nice room, perfect location, bad wifi

  We stayed for 2 nights. It's a 2 minute drive from the ski piste. You can walk if you walk, it's just behind the hotel. The room was good en the bathroom was nice. The balcony have some extra to the room to. Why a 4 star and not a 5 star, the wifi wasn't working really good and the staff did not know things to do in the area. So no extra information about dinner, shops or even the ski area. So as a foreigner who really doesn't know the place it's not easy. But tatranska lomnica is so small you will find everything you need in 5 minutes. The welness you have to book in advance. It's only for 4 people in every building. And only building A has a hot tub. Off season it's no problem at all but I can imagine in high season you have to be quick. Breakfast was ok, the coffee was the worst I had in whole Slovakia. There is a lot to chose from but it's just not that. A good coffee machine would make the difference. And fill up the things that are empty even if it's only 45 minutes left... I would definitely go here again. Staff is really friendly and make you feel welcome. Location is perfect and the welness is really nice after cold day snowboarding. I would recommend this hotel I'f you bring your own coffee.

  Crap wifi and misleading promotional images.

  I am at this hotel right now. And I'm pretty unhappy. While Stenley & Barbara on the front desk staff have been beyond kind, most helpful and perfect examples of excellent hospitality. BUT. We booked this property specifically because it promised a spa, pools, jacuzzi, etc. on site. Photos show all sorts of delightful hot, steamy, bubbly spa facilities. I have a knee injury and intended to relieve some of the pain in the hot water of a bath or jacuzzi. Upon arrival, we discover a shower only in the room and the jacuzzi is broken. Ok bad luck. Day 2, I ask about the jacuzzi. Still not fixed OK. Bad luck. Day 3 I ask about the jacuzzi. Still broken... At this point it should be clear I'm quite keen to use the jacuzzi. We got back from sightseeing today and learn the jacuzzi is finally fixed! But every other guest in the hotel seems to have had ability to book time in the jacuzzi - it's book solid til midnight. We leave very early tomorrow. Now I must watch all the happy guests in their robes trot past my window on the way to/from a relaxing soak. A hotel of this size, at these prices, and they only have one jacuzzi? That's absurd. All of those lovely spa photos in the promotional materials? That's all at the property next door and we have to pay extra to use those facilities. That's misleading. Also the wifi is complete pants. Practically useless. The room is fine. The hot water is fine. The restaurant is fine. Everything's clean.. Staff in general couldn't be nicer.

  Constant disappointment :/

  We are returning guests of the hotel, but based on the last experiences, I am really wonderking why. The kitchen was never on a 4* level (we hoped this time with the new chef it might have change), but let me now share the experience of our last visit only. So, let´s see: - no moderny kremes cake...ok, it happens, but according the waitress we will MAYBE have tomorrow - waiting for the menu card 15 minutes, while the 3 waiters were chatting - no fresh mint tea, no fresh ginger tea - they do not open a bottle of vine for only one glass of vine from the type of bottle they served one glass yesterday - beetroot salad with 3 peaces of beet - the waiters never remember who orderes what, 90% they (want to) put the food/drink in front of another person at the table - breakfast shall be served from 7, but half of the main food types was missing till 7:30 (eggs, pancake, etc.) This is too much within 24 hours! Isn ´t it? ...for a 4 STAR hotel. Further insufficiencies during our stay: - no jam for breakfast - had to ask for it and not always had - no honey for breakfast - had to ask for it - sweet pastries not baked/served till 7:45 - being late with eggs, pancake every day - bloody, not well cooked meat - long waiting time for food at the restaurant Also I have to say, for saturday (werethe day we were leaving) suddenly jam, honey available, also pudding and even prosecco for breakfast. I am wondering this is only because of the saturday, or because of the complaints...and will it stay like this??? :) To conclude: I would definitely take away one star...this hotel is far from a 4* one!

  Romantic stay by High Tatra mountain

  Very first time I visited Visoky Tatry (High Tatra) mountains region. Hotel is located really in front of one of the best scenery. The room with the scenic view, the inside furnishing (wood wood wood), the terrace just in front of the mountain, everything was "conspiring" and contributed to a romantic break with my wife. Hotel is at easy reach from Poprad, we came by car and discovered there's even an electric modern narrow track railway to reach Tatranska Lomnica. Location: superb. Easy: you can get anywhere at walking distance from hotel. Cable car 5 minutes walking, railway station (like a mountain cottage!) 8 minutes. Personnel: full marks, smiley, advising, professional. Seldom you can feel such friendly welcome. Facility: anything you need is available at hotel, even a complimentary visit to external Jacuzzi (provided it's not that busy!) Restaurant: full marks again. Personnel will recommend you local bier, and local plates. Dinner, breakfast and lunch were a culinary and gastronomic delicacy. Why should you get out of hotel when you are so good there? Room: cozy, relaxing, comfortable, with all amenities provided. "Chapeau" to architect that was overlooking the furnishing. Wifi: flawless, even outdoor at terrace. Parking: plenty. No rush, the hotel has got a front parking and three (3!) back parkings. Enough to accomodate everyone. Value for money: excellent. Full marks and top stars for hospitality. Anytime (hopefully) soon again. Thanks a lot!
