  Very noisy

  There is no lift in the hotel and the stairs are steep and that is a problem if you have heavy luggage. Had a room at the back of building, the farthest from the road. The hotel is located right by the road with constant traffic. Had to use ear plugs at night because the traffic noise was too strong even though all the windows were closed. Another source of noise is the reception area. Most rooms here have their doors overlooking the lobby and one can hear clearly every sound originating from there. The reception staff are young people who have friends coming and going all day and night plus the main entrance door has bells on it. In addition at night the reception staff watches TV with the sound on. There was a wide gap under the room door and I guess that is one reason for such poor sound insulation. I was the only guest at the hotel and stayed 2 nights there. On the day I was checking out I asked the receptionist if I could stay extra 1 h till 1pm instead of the customary 12pm. She refused outright. Great attitude. The room was comfortable and would have been a good value for the city if not for the noise from the road and the lobby.
