  A wonderful vacation!!!

  My family and I had an amazing vacation at hotel Kaliopa. The hotel is situated at the beach itself among lush green gardens in close proximity to sport facilities such as tenis courts ant etc. It is a quiet, peaceful and clean hotel that is the perfect place to unwind and relax. The personnel is welcoming and kind which nicely compliments you good mood.

  Best of Bulgaria so far :)

  Our four year-old daughter, my husband and I spent a few days in Albena, in early July. I think it was a too short stay. Everything was great. Large room, excellent location, three pool areas in the hotel yard, friendly and professional staff. The children attracttions were quite enough, but lacked the hysteria of over-crowded resorts. The breakfast included in the price of our stay was plentiful and varied. A true success story, this resort. All inclusive, in all the senses of the phrase. Thank you, Bulgaria! We will be back. :)

  One week in Albena @ Kaliopa

  Just average . The room was ok for a three star hotel. The reception personnel was nice , friendly and fluent in English. The shower tub was clogged the first two days, but the problem was solved quickly the moment I asked the front desk to take care of it. The towels and bed linen were clean .The shower curtain had mold spots, but it didnt bother me much cuz the tub was spacious. They made my bed every day and got new towels too. The only thing I disliked was the grumpy lifesaver by the pool. He use his broomstick to stop children from entering the pool!!!! Unacceptable ! The shower by the pool needs some fixing, like actually having shower heads . Per total , the one week vacation we spent here was really nice . I liked the fact that they offer two sun beds and an umbrella on the beach.

  Mediocre at best

  The hotel room is ok, nothing special at all, the shower which is very powerful will blast the curtain out of the shower unit and start to flood the bathroom. We went half board and the food is shocking, under cooked chicken, the worst coffee I have ever had ( I am including English McDonalds) the description of the food in English is not even close to what you are eating. Avoid the food at all cost. The pool although small is nice it has a kids shallow are and second deeper area for teens and adults. If your looking for anything to do in the evening you have to leave the hotel and after 2 night 3 at a push you have done everything in the area.

  Perfect location

  The room was OK for a three star hotel, better than in some other Albena hotels. However, it seemed that they were short of cleaning stuff at times so not very prompt service. Mind that you may not find free lounge chairs by the pool especially in days when swimming in the sea is forbidden maybe because the pool is quite small. Nevertheless, you are one step to the beach and can enjoy jogging along the wet sand early in the morning. There is a very convenient side entrance/exit for a quick access to the beach. I recommend this hotel to families with kids and not only. Plus the food was excellent at Malibu restaurant.
