  Wonderful setting for a relaxing holiday whatever the weather

  We enjoyed a short break away last week and were oberjoyed with our choice of hotel. The room was clean and in good condition. The Wellness Bereich exceeded our expectations, the breakfast buffet was sensational and the piano bar was a real find. We would definitely recommend this hotel winter or summer.

  Hotel with a view?

  The sea from our room was hard to see, however - standing on a chair you get a glimpse of the bright, blue Baltic outside. But you could smell it, and even hear it, so the name MARITIME was covered for though. Very nice and friendly staff made our stop-over quite satisfying. The breakfast next morning was solid german.

  LOVELY HOTEL AND LOCATION

  We stayed here for two nights on BB basis. We had a superior room with good balcony and nice sea-views. The room was spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated with lots of easy chairs, sofa for relaxing. Bathroom was large and well set out. We had a bath with shower over, but it was very adequate and the shower very good. Only complaint in here was the lack of toiletries. My wife was disappointed to find no shower cap or conditioner for her hair, we thought for this standard of hotel maybe these could be included. The beds were very comfortable, although we did have an issue with the pillows, far too soft for us and even after we asked for something a little firmer the replacements were not a lot better, that said we were very happy with the overall standard of the room. We had an evening meal on the first night in the piano bar. This is a lovely restaurant, with several quirky models dotted about, lovely decor and friendly staff. The food was excellent, our party of four were all delighted with the menu, presentation and standard of the food supplied.The hotel has two pools - indoor and out.We used the outdoor which although cold was so refreshing on a hot day. There are abundant sun loungers and gorgeous views over the sea and promenade. The inside pool looked very inviting as well and has a decent spa in a nice area of the hotel. To sum up would definitely like to return here, we found it most relaxing and staff who spoke English on the whole very friendly.

  probably spoilt by holiday resorts - keep in mind this is just Germany...

  plus points - service is friendly - reception staff is mostly quick efficient and friendly - house technique and house keeping staff are efficient - for Heringsdorf I think it has a good location close to the pier and it does offer views of the sea - the roof top pool is a good idea - there is load of space, i would probably make the pool bigger and would probably have different pool options even up there including a hot tub which actually could also be put on the even much better viewed part of the roof top where the winter garden is... minuses - generally super tacky designs inside (breakfast room tries to evoke holiday feeling by bringing palm trees in which generally could work but the room isn't pretty at all, has no view whatsoever and is tucked somewhere in the middle...) - best location of the whole hotel is certainly the "winter garden" as it has the best views (much much better than from the room we were given even though i booked the most expensive sea view room i could find) however i would USE that location - we went up there at 9ish, 10ish pm but it was deserted, dark, nothing there except empty chairs and a book shelf - i would put a lovely roof top bar up there with cool interior design... - carpets aren't too clean, toppings of sun beds super dirty - problem of having them in a cream color but also why aren't they just washed more frequently? also some other chairs are rather filthy - in general everything seems a little bit dated and sometimes there is a moldy smell when you enter the room - beware NO AIR CON - in my view it s far too expensive for what it is but baltic sea prices seem to be high up and people seem to pay for it rather than using the same money for a BIG trip (which could actually even be less expensive for a high quality hotel...) so they can keep the prices up. tastes are very different of course but my very favorite location of the baltic sea so far is Binz Travelcharme - maybe as our room there had the best view and a huge balcony, service was excellent breakfast outside with a view of the sea...

  If you are looking for THE location for your stay, then this is it. It is situated right at the beach with a great view. What mir do you want. The staff is extremely friendly and the hotel is very clean. It does however need a bit of upgrading here and there and the decors inside is probably not everyones taste. The Corona regulations were kept in place by everyone, which made me feel very much at ease. The outdoor pool and view is spectacular, make sure to use it! The parking is too expensive and should be included for hotel guests. And if in the event you decide not to have breakfast included, there are plenty of options every couple of yards in the town.
