    Ordinary rooms with great dinner

Most of these rooms are traditionally Japanese with matting and a futon for sleeping. For overseas visitors, an extra futon on the floor will make it more comfortable. There are public baths for both men and women, with a very small bathroom ensuite in each room. The only available seating in these rooms are either the windowsill or the chairs placed on the ground with the dining table. The room was a bit shabby and worn, as were the public areas. The redeeming feature was the set menu dinner served to our group, which was tasty and well presented.

Traditional Japanese and Western rooms with private Onsen or public.

We booked for 2 nights in one of the traditional Japanese rooms, it was nice spacious, fairly clean and, private bathroom, shower,tv,wifi which was great for watching the Sumo wrestling, you are also provided with traditional Yukata robe to wear and Haori and slippers. We had full use of the Onsen too, The breakfast buffet was great with a choice of Japanese and Western foods ,i managed to get a good photo of mount Fuji,There is also a shop selling various Japanese food items, They have also vending machines with food and drinks, due to its location it is far from food shops , the nearest is the local Lawson which is 5 minutes drive away, happy with the car parking facilities.will go again.

    By the lake

Oh, what a view. We had our first experiance with a Japanese hotel at Hakone. We still asked for a western still room, but it had a Japanese stile seating room. We enjoy the hot spring private rooms. The view from the roof top was incredible.

Old hotel, rooms were fine onsen was a bit rusty and breakfast was great and delicious A bit far location but we were attracted by the price and it turned to be a good choice. Nothing luxury, looks like the place knew better days but we were happy with it. Especially the breakfast.

Very clean with excellent staff and views. A nice break from the crowded city.

We needed a break from staying home every day because of the Covid-19 virus. We saw that this place had a reasonable rate and four private hot springs. It is not the newest hotel, but it is very clean and was an excellent place to go to be surrounded by nature. The hot springs were excellent and clean. I loved soaking in them and could feel the stress disappearing. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The staff was very friendly and let us check in early. Of course, take in mind that this is during the pandemic. Don't go to crowded places. I think this is a good, safe place to go to get a mental recharge. We all need it. Be safe and enjoy!
