  Our favourite place for lunch

  The nine of us were staying elsewhere, but had lunch nearly every day at Jelinek during our week stay in August. The staff were very friendly and the food great as well as adaptable: big lunch for hungry teenagers, food to share for little ones, something light for us oldies (try their fried cheese: a Czech speciality). From the veranda we could watch the world go by,

  El mejor restaurante de Spindleruv Mlyn... Todo lo que hemos pedido era muy bueno y fresco, super recomendado Kulajda... Personal amable y muy atento... gran variedad de comidas para vegetarianos... El sitio muy tranquilo y comodo...

  Rustic

  Very rustic style ski resort restaurant. There was a large party of motor bikers at an adjacent table but other than that the place was quiet, not particularly atmospheric. The food and service were fine, the menu mainly consisted of local dishes. Nothing special but certainly fine for a bite to eat and a beer after a hard days walking.

  Restaurant Hotel Jelinek

  Friendly staff, served meal far above average in Spindleruv Mlyn both in price and quality. Meal presentation and taste was excellent and it was really enough as for quantity :-) I was really surprised. I warmly reccommend to visit, great cuisine and a perfect service for a very affordable price. I was not accomodated in the hotel, but the restaurant services were perfect.

  Extremely rude staff. Threatened to call police on our 7 years old

  Our 7 years old kid was checking the desserts in the fridge and on her way back to the table she was almost hit by a waitress who then aggressively told her to go back to the table. It was really not the child fault. I then asked to have a word with her but she pretended not to speak English. I asked to call her colleague (with whom I was speaking English before) who aggressively said (in Czech, which I can understand but not rea speak) We are in the Czech Republic, you must speak Czech!. I continued in English, calmly as there were also other guests around, saying that his colleague had been unnecessarily rude and aggressive and he said that I was being aggressive to him (my voice was calm and low) and that he would be calling the police. He added, asking my Slovak friend, if since I was not tall I had the need to compensate. I have rarely witnessed such a pointless and unprovoked aggressiveness and rudeness. We reported the staff behavior to the manager who, on the contrary, was a very nice and understanding lady. I know that it is not easy to find employees in the Czech Republic, but people like those waiters will do more damage to the business. And it is a pity because the place has potential.
