  Our family was treated great and a 'wow' to every employee we met.

  After reading the reviews, I wonder sometimes. Anyway, I checked in with an attitude at 2:00 a.m. A horrible train day from Chicago. All I can say is the staff put up with me. I apologized and our three nights here were absolutely terrific. Walk to Union Station and the WW 1 museum. The Federal Reserve is in the area but closed due to COVID. Both rooms we were given were spot on and spotless. Shades that my children taught me to open and close. Amazing. Our last morning the dining room opened for breakfast. We were treated like royalty and were cooked an absolutely wonder breakfast. Not free but priced fair for the quality. The two managers I met were like so polite. Michael, a new and very good historian and funny got to the heart of all of us as he was our breakfast waiter. Once we got the free trolley figure out, which is only a block away, we went to City Market and other places. Safe, quick and always running during the day hours. Unsure of the schedule. So no need to worry about the underprivileged in the area. The ones we passed were better than the snobs we passed in nicer areas. I got a great price. Would I stay here again, alone or with my family? Absolutely A couple great restaurants a few blocks away by the train yards, if you like trains. Thanks again to all the staff. Patience, professionalism and very helpful. No room safes, very clean with masks or plexiglass protection.

  Extremely poor customer service!

  Richard the day time manager refused to have my room cleaned. Telephone did not work. Once I brought the issue of the nonworking phone and the fact that the room was not cleaned. The manager Richard was very defensive and argumentative. I drove over 1300 miles to celebrate the Negro League 100 year anniversary, and I was shocked by the manner in which not only Richard but the staff poor social and customer service skills.

  Severely Underwhelmed

  Our room was extremely pretty and came with a thermostat for air conditioning versus a standard unit air conditioner, which was great! However, we were immediately hit with an extra $150 in what I would call "collateral fees" that our front desk person couldnt find the words to explain. "If you dont use the money, you get it back." And it went towards things such as the 24 dollar a day valet parking. Overall our 3 day stay was nice, but there were only 29 channels on the tv, and the walls are absolutely PAPER THIN. We were constantly bombarded with full conversations from our room to our left. I had called the front desk to complain but nothing resulted. That same night I had to bang lightly on our shared wall to remind them to keep it down, as it was 2:30 in the morning on a thursday night and I could hear loud, boisterous laughter that kept my boyfriend and I from sleeping. This and tons of outside noise from traffic. Hard to relax, hard to enjoy. Wont be staying at this chain again.

  Cute boutique hotel

  We stayed overnight on a road trip. Didn't really have much time to explore the area. Our room was neat and clean and I loved the decor! Such a cute, modern design. No breakfast due to Covid restrictions. It is dog friendly and there is a little park by the tracks a few blocks down to walk the dog. There was valet parking that we used.

  Unique boutique style

  This is one of those converted old building, filled with artwork types of hotels. It is beautifully done with everything one needs inside. There's not a pool, but we knew this already. The parking situation is a bit annoying but the incredible customer service, once we got inside, made me forget about that. The gentleman went out of his way to ensure we were happy and even reduced our rate after informing us the breakfast we had prepaid for was temporarily unavailable due to COVID. We opted for Valet parking since you have to have your car moved on the street by 0700. The room was comfortable and afforded good views of the city. It is within easy walking distance to Union Station and other locations. Again, the customer service was excellent and I cannot recommend this place enough.
