My Trip to Katowice PolandWhen i landed at the Warsaw Airport in Poland, i was getting scared after seeing snow everywhere, little did i know was going to meet good things a head., i boarded the domestic flight to Katowice. OMG i arrived very well and loved the shopping malls, the veggie meals and as well the transport system. it was so good for me and colleagues to learn about the polish culture. planning to visit again in 2020.

Good hotel with very friendly staffGood hotel a little outside of Oswiecim! Selected the hotel because of the proximity to the Auschwitz museum (just across the street). Late arrival (10 pm) was no problem. Very obliging staff! Our room was quite large, nice and clean. Breakfast was basic but intercontinental and some food varied on our second morning. The food was tasty and there we options for both of us as we are both not vegetarian/vegan Parking was free as we were hotel guests. We didnt have dinner at the hotel restaurant, so I cant evaluate that. If you are looking for a good, clean and modern hotel in this area, this is the place to go

Restaurant Review only - very niceI was staying next door, but their restaurant was closed, so I walked over to Imperiale for dinner. Place was pretty quiet, just a few other tables occupied. Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered a bowl of the traditional polish soup (Zurek staropolski) which was warm, filling and good flavor, served along with a basket of local breads. I also had the salad with smoked cheese wrapped in bacon. This was delicious and the presentation artful. (picture included) I had no opportunity to see any of the guest rooms or any of the hotel outside the restaurant, but I would definitively return for dinner.
