Good experience, friendly staff and close to the BeachMy husband and I spent four days there. We read a lot of bad reviews but we are happy to say that our staying was good. Good things: the location, just across the street you are in the Promenade. The parking space is on request and you must pay extra but the car is safe in a private garage. The staff helped us and suggest us things, routes and places. The check in was fast, as the check out too. You can bring your pet! The toilet was always clean and our beds too. You have a store/Kiosk next to the hotel. Bad things: The Elevator took ages, the Breakfast room is very small or the chairs are way too big. We did not like the chain in the entrance neither. They really need to change the design in the Breakfast room because We felt like eating in a Train Station, a little to uncomfortable to reach everything. Get rid of the carpet!

Not so goodWere we unlucky or is it all a poor hotel, we'll never be staying here again the room was very poor and small for the price, the beds are very small the bathroom was poorly designed where the toilet was squeezed in a tiny corner plus the door was see through so the person in the bedroom could see the person on the toilet. The defo not recommending a stay here

Never AgainWhile the location is good there are much nicer hotels near by and location is the only real thing positive about this place. Booked a twin room given a double then received very poor customer service in trying to resolve this being told "customers don t get to choose" For a shower you hold the shower and hose yourself down, no curtain or shower screen so danger of flooding bathroom and this in a superior room! Sea view not great can see the sea across the road and between two buildings. Location oh and breakfast good but not enough to entice me back would avoid at all costs.

Love staying hereWe love staying at Hotel Imperial. We come back every year to celebrate. Friendly staff, parking available on request, clean room and nice breakfast! You can walk to the casino or like in our case to go to an event.

Looking a little tiredThis was our 4th or 5th time that we have stayed at the Imperial, mainly because of its location to the town and other amenities and also that it also has secure private parking that is about a 5 minute walk away. However I have to say that this stay didn't live up to our previous stays and considering we booked the rooms over 9 months ago it is unlikely that we will stay here again when we are next in Ostend. We asked for rooms together as we had 2 singles and 1 twin, all on different floors, something that wasn't mentioned to us when we booked the excuse we got was that there was a big even on locally hence the hotel was full.. The rooms whilst clean didn't have the ability to let you turn the temperature up or down so subsequently you were either too hot or window open too cold, also it was supposed to be non smoking room but it was clearly obvious that the previous occupants of the twin room were smokers something we took up with the management but were fobbed off. There were no shower curtains or shower screens which meant you got most of the bathroom wet when you used the shower also the towers did nothing at all to get you dry. Breakfast first morning was good as the hotel was full so everything like juice, bread, etc got refilled as it got used, something that didn't happen on the other mornings when we went down to breakfast and a number of guests including ourselves had to go to reception in order to get someone to come out of the kitchen to bring more juice, coffee, bread, pastries etc... Not good service at all. I could go on but I think readers will have got the feel for the issues we were having. Sorry but as they say never again...
