  I stayed in the Queen Ensuite for three nights. DJ carried my bag to my room. I thought that was very helpful as there was no lift. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean and tidy. No aircon but had a fan. Shower pressure was good but had to wait about a minute for the hot water to kick in. My room had a connecting door to the next room so could hear the neighbours talking - so I turned my TV up. No Sky TV. Wifi was excellent and free. There is a communal fridge and kitchen. Secure parking was a bonus. Hotel is on the main street so close to shopping and food. There is also a Saturday market worth checking out. Would stay again.

  Unwelcoming Reception

  I booked for 5 adults (myself and 4 adult children). 7 of us turned up to the hotel as 2 of my nephews staying at another motel closeby helped us with transport and our luggage. The Manager assumed that we were trying to sneak in 2 extra people and told us in a very unfriendly manner that if we had more staying than booked he would call the police and cameras would pick up the extras staying at the hotel. Disgusted with his tone and manner upon our arrival, I told him that he was accusing us unnecessarily of being dishonest and that it was not appreciated. Had there been somewhere else to stay, we would have moved out immediately. Hotel furniture tired although rooms were clean. The bathroom rug was not clean and damp from previous guests. Room smelt musty. The unwelcoming tone from the Manager put a damper on our entire stay! Some customer service!!! Appalling.

  Great budget hotel, very clean and exceptionally helpful staff. Nothing is to much for them. Shared bathroom or options of en-suite. Great central location. Quant town. Very good for single travel. A small shared kitchen where you can make coffee and toasted sandwiches. Great for an over night stop

  Lovely hotel. Quiet. Comfortable room. Great amenities. Beautifully restored. Very welcoming host who was helpful and generous. 3 Indian restaurants in Thames - tasty and fresh fish curry. Well recommended. Thankyou!

  Best beds on the Coromandel

  Best beds on the Coromandel. Great location in the centre of a very interesting and fun town. The owner was very helpfull and went out of his way to accomodate our special needs. Very comfortable rooms and good dark beer at bar below.
