  Try to avoid this place

  We stayed at this hotel en tour to the Pantanal - probably a planning error on our side, since we easily could have moved on into the Pantanal using the same tour operator on the same day that we have arrived in Campo Grande, but that is besides the point. Campo Grande itself is not exactly a glamouros place to stay at. This hotel, however, is located close to the old bus station, which apparently is being used by all sorts of mobile food/drink/entertainment stalls, so the location may not trigger instantaneous sympathy. The room we had was worn down and seemed unclean, with a lot of noise from the streets. Probbaly the worst room we have seen in many years of travelling. Lessons learned: There is no "must see" in Campo Grande for regular tourists like we are. Move on as quickly as possible - or chose another hotel like the IBIS, which is on the other side of town, but much tidier.

  Highly recommended

  We have just checked out of this hotel and would recommend it for a couple of nights. We arrived in CG without a reservation anyway and we were recommended this hotel. The man on reception was extremely helpful, within 2 mintues of arriving we were settling into our room. The room came with air con, a tv, private bathroom and very good wifi signal. It was getting late and we were hungry but due to the location of this hotel - by the old bus terminal - we didnt feel safe going out to buy something so instead we asked the guy on reception to order us a pizza and he was more than happy to do this. The breakfast in the morning was very good. Coffee, bread, cake, cheese, ham, fresh fruit, jucies. Everything about this hotel was very good accept the location and hardness of the bed!

  Hotel sencillo para una noche

  Es un hotel pequeño, básico y sencillo, pero tiene todo lo necesario para pasar una noche. Es viejo pero suficiente para pasar un par de días si no es de gustos exigentes. Tiene desayuno incluido y ascensor. La atención es buena y rápida. Tiene buena agua caliente La zona no es excelente, pero esta cerca del aeropuerto

  Adequate hotel booked at the last minute

  My friend and I were travelling from Sao Paulo to Bonito via Campo Grande. We flew into Campo Grande airport in the afternoon and all the buses to Bonito were fully booked so we unexpectedly stayed the night in Campo Grande. We therefore booked Hotel Iguacu because it was cheap, centrally located, and was one of the few available options for booking online at the last minute. The hotel was good value, breakfast was included, check in and checkout were very easy, staff were particularly pleasant, and wifi was reliable. The location wasnt particularly appealing, but that wasnt very important for our purposes. The room was basic, fairly old, and the walls were thin (earplugs are recommended). Adequate for a one night stay, but there are better options for an extended stay.
