    Stretching our budet

OK, this definitely isn't the best hotel we stayed in, but for the money we paid for these 16 nights, we got an excellent deal. As mentioned, this is a budget hotel and the location isn't the most ideal (yet, since they are building the new MRT line, right next to it with a stop next to the hotel building), but if you have a car, you'll get a free parking spot in their garage. The room is more or less basic and you can definitely see signs of wear and tear, but it is a minor con that doesn't represent a problem overall. Also, the room isn't all that small, so you will have enough space for the bags and for moving around. The design is a bit tricky since the bathroom is partially in the room, being devided from the rest of the room by the mirror. Also, the shower and the toilet are behind it and have the blurred glass door, so you definitely need to stay there with someone you're close with. :) WiFi signal was good, but the speeds weren't the best. We would get two bottles of water with every room service, which we used every two to three days. There is a small fridge as well, a small desk, electric kettle, tea and coffee. The AC was working absolutely fine. With the room rate, we had access to the buffet breakfast which wasn't bad at all. Plenty of sweet and savoury dishes, juices, coffee machines, an egg station. We also got a fruit platter delivered to our room from the manager. A really nice gesture. Overall, for the price we paid, we got a really good deal.

I haven never experienced this with Ibis before until now.

I had arrived after a long trip in the morning, arriving to a hotel where there was at least over 100 guest waiting in the lobby. There WAS two check in counters open, and suddenly the guy at the AccorPlus counter gave up and went back in doing god knows what. I saw his name tag, FARIS. Not only it took him 30 minutes doing god knows what at the back but to check us in stating the wrong amount and also DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO USE A CARD MACHINE. So I had to type in everything for him and use the card machine. After a long stressful day, I would never thought I'd have this from a well known hotel brand. After my stay, I checked out, this lovely staff, Zulaikah helped me, and she said the payment was voided because he gave the wrong amount and the entire payment was VOIDED. So I have to pay the amount again, because one person doesn't know how to work the hotel system. The hotel was fine, the amenities were all good but because of one staff, FARIS, made everything so stressful. Take note travellers.

Clean, Big room. Away from crowd

We booked the family suite, it was spacious & extremely clean! Being a 3star hotel, I was not putting any high expectations however the room space, cleanliness & comfort exceeded our expectations! Not forgetting the staffs too, special mention of Mr Femi from restaurant at Level 2. He was attentive to our breakfast preference! And even though there was miscommunication regarding breakfast (incl in our reservation), it was quickly rectified. Highly recomm this hotel for those who self-drive in KL as its located at residential area with the nearest big mall about 12-15mins away (1 Utama). Theres currently construction right infront/opposite the hotel so theres basically no nice views but theres hardly any loud construction noises either. Many DIY laundry shops & eatery nearby. must try Restoran Woh Gei, a coffeeshop that sell a good variety of local Malaysia food as well as western/Vietnamese cuisine too, it was crowded very evening we drove past!

    A one night stay

The Interior of the hotel room is pleasant and comfortable. Just that the toilet door is a little too transparent and cant be closed tightly. This hotel is a favourite of tour groups. Breakfast time can be a little stressful. The good thing is it has a separate sitting section for other house guests.

One of the better Ibis Styles in KL

Was at this hotel for business trip for 2 nights and my review as follows: 1) Location: It is in the neighbourhood of Bandar Sri Damansara, not that difficult to locate using waze but the surrounding of the hotel is currently construction of the new MRT line. Having said that, despite the on-going constructions, roads remain clear and easy to drive. There is also proper indoor basement parking (few levels) and thankfully the parking are not tight. It was easy to turn and park. Not too far from the hotel, there is two huge coffee shop selling various hawker food and there is also a stretch of halal warung (within 1km drive). Grab food and food panda delivery service are also available and quite a lot of choices too. So, overall, i think the location is ok for this hotel. 2) Lobby and Check in Lobby is nice with high ceiling. Check in was fast and being a weekday, there was no queue at all. I like the fact they placed two containers of plain water and mango juice at the lobby. Guests can help themselves with those drinks whenever at lobby. Just some suggestion, maybe the hotel can put in few slices of lemon to the plain water container. This will look more classy in my opinion. 3) Room 1305 (Suite Room) Being Accorshotel member, I was upgraded to the Suite Room. It was spacious with living room. The mattress and pillows are very comfy especially with a layer of mattress topper. Bathroom is the usual Ibis concept. It was modern and nice with rainshower. Maybe my only comment is the frosted glass isnt really frosted as one can still see the shadow of the person inside very clearly. It may be akward if you are staying with a colleague. I suggest the hotel to put another layer of frosting for all twin rooms (as these rooms are usually for travellers who arent couple/business colleagues). Anyway, I did have a good sleep at this hotel. So the room are value for money. 4) Wifi Wifi is free and easy to connect. Speed is ok and consistent. 5) Buffet Breakfast Surprisingly for Ibis standard, the buffet breakfast is quite good. There are a lot of selections daily such as Nasi Lemak, noodles, chee cheong fun, porridge, cereals, salads, fruits, bread & pastries, western option like baked beans, sausages, samosa, dim sum, hash browns etc. They also offers egg station services. They also have coffee machine with selections including latte & cappucino. Quite impressive. For improvement, I think the noodle soup corner should be replaced with something else as it was not a popular choice or maybe the noodles are just not presented properly. I think just replaced it with mushroom soup would be better. The juices also are not chilled enough on my 2 times breakfast at the restaurant. I strongly suggest to put in few slices of lemon into the plain water container - it will be refreshing but most importantly, the drinks/juices should be chilled properly. If not, it wont taste good. Overall, having stayed at Ibis cheras, Ibis KLCC and Ibis Fraser Park Pudu before, i think the breakfast at Ibis Bandar Sri Damansara is the better one. 6) Check Out Since it is on a weekday, there was literally no queue. However, the process took a bit too long in my opinion. In my case, i have to wait for about 10 minutes before being told everything is ok. Not sure why the hotel procedure is to wait for the housekeeping to confirm everything in the room is in order especially since I already have my credit card verified. If there is anything, they can always charge on my credit card. I really dont know if this is practical during the weekends or high seasons. Some customers will definitely get annoyed if have to wait 10 minutes for housekeeping confirmation. Overall, if the rate is below RM200 per night, this hotel is highly recommended. Most importantly the rooms are modern and they provide good quality mattresss.
