  Excellent service - Average location

  We visited the IBIS centre Hyères for 2 nights 16/18 Feb as we had a wedding close by. Larger room than expected (upgrade) with 3 beds above the pool (317). The hotel is neat, and provides better than what you would usually expect for that brand (medium range of Accor). Location is right aside of an highway which is making the background noise very hard to support if and when you want to open your windows. Reception area is nicely arranged. The true plus of that hotel are the staff. Smiling, caring about you and doing the extra mile. Breakfast has nothing fancy but is really good, french style. Hard to get more for around 100 bucks.

  OK hotel close to city center

  We reserved two rooms in this hotel in a very short notice as it was difficult to find anything elsewhere in the middle of the season. Actually we were pleasantly surprised. The lobby area is nice and modern. Check in was quick, although one of the rooms was not ready on our arrival. We went for a walk in town and returned two hours later and the room was still not ready. We asked for another room and were given a triple. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the old town and there are several shops, restaurants and boulangeries within even shorter walking distance. The room was pretty basic, but clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was nice. We did not have breakfast, as for 10 euros per person the selection of the buffee was nothing special and opted for a coffee and croissant in the nearby boulangerie. The hotel has a small but nice swimming pool. It was great to have a dip and relax after a hot day at the beach.

  Very nice welcome from Emmanuelle and great service from the night porter Jean-Marc

  I arrived at the hotel and was welcomed really nicely by Emmanuelle so I felt good straight away. I had a room at the end of the corrider overlooking the unheated swimming pool as I'd requested. It was spacious with a double bed and a single bed but I would have preferred a sofa instead of the single bed. I looked at other rooms with sofas but they were much smaller. It was the usual basic Ibis, clean with good mattresses and pillows. I really appreciated the service by the night porter, Jean-Marc, who also made my stay very pleasant. Don't know who designed the toilets but you have the spare toilet roll holder at the side so you can't actually sit straight on the toilet, they really need to move it. For those who like outdoor Olympic swimming pools open year round and heated to 27 degrees centigrade, walk 900 metres to the Complexe Aquatique (the Mercure is closer), just next to the chess club where I was playing in a tournament. It costs 5 euro to get in and you need a 1 euro piece for the locker. When I was there towards the end of October, there were only a few people in each lane, the weather was beautiful and I really enjoyed swimming outside. Although the hotel is called Ibis Hyères Centre, it actually isn't in the centre. If you want to get to Place de la République where you can find an excellent restaurant called Chez Soi, you have to walk 1.1kms.

  fin de semana en hyeres

  El hotel está muy bien situado para llegar andando al centre histórico de la cuidad. El personal muy amable. Los desayunos muy completos. La recepción esta abierta toda la noche. No nos dio tiempo a disfrutar de la piscina pero se veía desde la sala de desayuno y tenía muy buena pinta, muy limpia. Volveremos para darnos un chapuzón.

  Lo de Centre..... va a ser que no.

  Bueno, será que está dentro del casco urbano, no digo que no, pero cerca del centro histórico, no está... un pateo de casi dos kms por unas avenidas largas....tipo autopista....feas y con poca luz y poca gente de noche. Alrededor del hotel no hay nada, ni un bar triste ni una tiendecita ni nada. La habitación la encontramos llena de mosquitos, ok puede pasar, es verano y un lugar de mar...pedimos en recepción un insecticida, no tienen, nos dicen que cerremos las ventanas y usemos el aire acondicionado para q no entren... ??? Y la terraza de la habitación ? No la uso?? La terraza por cierto tiene colillas de cigarro de los anteriores huéspedes... en fin.... bastante cutrecillo todo y en medio de nada. No volveré.
