    Great for the price!

    This hotel is typical for school trips, low budget ryokan/hotel. Location is wonderful. The building is old but they did the great job on cleaning. My room didn't have a bath/shower (there was a toilet in the room) and I had to use the shared baths, which is common in Japanese ryokan, but there were two of them and both were big and very clean, so I didn't mind that at all. The hot tub had a circulation system and the hot water kept running, so it was clean and good temperature. Even though the room was facing to a big street, it was very quiet because of double layered windows. I could get an over night parking at the hotel with discounted rate which was really a good deal in the city canter. Considering the location and the price, this hotel is great!

    Very accommodating even though we made a mistake on the reservation

    We accidentally made a mistake and reserved our room for the week before our trip. We didn't even realize the mistake until we had gotten to the hotel. The hotel staff were very understanding, and not only did they let us book a room last minute, they even let us use some of the money from our previous reservation toward our new reservation, saving us some money. The room was clean and spacious, and the Japanese style bath was so nice after a long, cold day. Definitely a good experience all around.

    Overall satisfied

    The hotel personnel were very friendly. They were all accommodating and nice. They spoke little English so we had to pin point things and acted to be able to communicate properly. The room was good, it has separate small spaces/rooms for bathing and using toilet. They have a common bathroom too which you can use if you want to experience sauna. The roommaids arranging the tatami beds and serving the breakfast for us were very nice. The location was good since it's near the subway and the food resto/convenience stores were also just a few steps away. The price was cheaper than any other hotels. And what we paid for was really worth the price! I would definitely stay again and recommend this place.

    Hotel Cultura Japonesa

    Hotel limpio, atención del personal espectacular. Pero para los europeos dormir en el suelo es un poco complicado, aunque es una experiencia. Los desayunos no te los acabas te los llevan a la habitación y son espectaculares. está muy céntrico y bien conectado con la ciudad. poca gente habla inglés en el país, en el hotel solo una chica, pero poquito. El wifi en las habitaciones muy flojo.

    Nice hotel

    Stayed here 2 nights, we really enjoyed the public bath and also they give you yukata for it. The building itself it is a bit old however it does offer what you would expect. Very central located which links you very well to the main attraction of the city. Staff were very friendly but it would be nice if they could speak a better English. Would stay again and recommend.
