Perfect spot for a couple of nightsBooked from the UK online. Other reviews seemed largely positive. The hotel is not large and is situated alongside the canal of the edge of the historic centre of town. The rooms are a bit dated and basic, but the beds were clean and comfy, the bathroom and shower were good and the air conditioning excellent and quiet! (Leaving the room and walked into a "wall" of heat.) Free wi-fi. Breakfast was 9 euros extra, you may get better value elsewhere. Cereals, fruit juice, cheese, boiled eggs (on request), and piece of baguette croissant and pain au chocalat plated per person. I would have liked some ham. The biggest plus of the hotel is undoubtedly the owner, speaks good english, and very knowledgeable of the area. Plenty of street parking too.

Quaint hotel with a friendly owner+receptionist+coffee makerThis is one of those experience in life, where I never thought I set my foot in St-Gilles and found this gem of a hotel. First of all, the location of this hotel is not beside the main road where most of out-of-town hotel are. But, it is situated nicely in front of the river which gives you a nice view in the morning. Beside that, This hotel is quite in the center of the town as we stumble upon a fresh market bazaar just behind the hotel and did a minor shopping and bought ourselves a plentyful of fresh fruits from the market. The owner of this hotel, is also the receptionist and he stayed all nights at the counter readily welcoming and assisting you, and in the morning, he be the first to wake up at serve you breakfast and coffee. He do speak fluent english and whats more, he is a really nice and sincere guy. I did spend the whole morning chatting about the town while the Mrs still asleep. The room itself was quite nice and have all the necessary amenities u want, but i do have to warn you, there a mosquitoes and the aircond cannot be control. The shower and bathroom was pretty taken care of and the bed quality was superb. There is also a free and fast wifi in the room which makes it ever better to stay and last but not least, the breakfast was pretty OK too. We stay in the first floor which only had view to the road but i guess other rooms must have better view. This is a nice and homely hotel to stay and we could spend time here again if we're back in France.

Cool, friendly, convenient, calm.Great situation along a quiet road beside the canal, genuinely friendly owner who speaks English, air con and wifi great and efficient, near to centre of quaint town and lots of restaurants within a very short walk. Even had a small bath in our room. Comfortable bed and good breakfast. Would go again.

Well locatedIt's located close to downtown, but on the channel (du Rhône à Sète). Therefore you have a pleasant view and are out of the noise. It's quite a basic building and so is the room, which is quite small. The walls feel the age. The breakfast it's not worth its price (9).

A convienient location for a visit to The Camargue.A very clean and comfortable hotel. Conviently located to the town centre and some very good local restaurants as well as a good base to explore the Camargue region. Plently of free local street parking available on the adjoining streets. Our only criticism was that the air conditioning unit in our room was unable to lower the temperture to a comfortable level making sleeping uncomfortable during a hot August.
