  Really good

  I don't have anything bad to say about this hotel. We can go downtown Berlin in few minutes by taking a bus and it was quiet and clean. Breakfast was good :)

  Beautiful but unkempt

  Currently it is called Havel Lodge hotel. Excellent location with nice surroundings (forest, lakes around). Somewhat easily accessible by car or public transport (buses 222, N22, and the stop is just around the corner). I had a rather nice room number 33 on the first floor (yes, probably it looked from 80s-90s indeed but it was pretty good though except the antique TV). Quiet place to spend night or two (longer staying may appear boring). Wonderful nature, views... all these were very enjoyable. Probably the only disappointing thing was somewhat "cold" general attitude which is rarely seen in such small hotels and guest houses, especially their restaurant which was either closed early (on Friday) or appeared fully reserved (on Saturday), and their small and crowded parking was also a pity (the second day I had to leave my car in streets nearby).

  Hotel lays on the Havel River in a very quiet area.Restaurant and Sight right across the River

  Havel Lodge and Eagle Lodge,both lay in the quiet Suburb of Tegelort,10km from Airport.Good Connection with public Transport into Berlin (20min).Beautiful view across the river and good for dinner at evenings.Some of the rooms need renovation, which will be done ...one by one we were told by the Manager.

  Mixed feelings

  The hotel itself is not bad. The beds are confortable, the room is clean, old, but solid furniture, bathroom is very ok. The surroundings are quite nice, lake and forest, a bus (222) is just around the corner. The minuses: we had a room with a view to the trash cans in the yard, the door lock was difficult to open, no Wi-Fi or Internet of any sort, no light in the evening when you came back upstairs in the room. The receptionist was very rude when she looked at my ID card and uttered in a very unpolite way my nationality. So on the whole, I would not recommend.

  Great Base for long weekend

  This is our third trip to Berlin 1st to this area and we found the hotel to be in a good location overlooking a lake, walking distance to the local bus which took us into Tiegel in 10 minutes ands from there it was easy to catch the underground into the city centre. I would recommend staying here if you want peace and quiet, there is a good Chinese Restaurant a stone's throw away with amazing food but closes at 9.30, breakfast is simple continental (cold meats and cereals)no hot food. It is a basic hotel and does need some updating but I would definitely return.
