  Good standard

  The hotel is slightly on the older side and lacks atmosphere but is of a good standard, although a little expensive for what you are getting. It's a very big hotel so expect lots of families. Staff are simply OK, on the disappointing side for Japan standard I would say. Rooms are old and not modern. On the plus side is waking up to a view of the Pacific. Nothing to write home about.

  Comfortable hot spring resort

  Stayed for a night but was impressed with the room view, space and hot spring facility. The resort received many local visitors that made it more authentic to a foreign visitor like myself. It is not closed to any shop or restaurant and can only access by car. The spring water is in high quality too.

  Nice view

  The view is absolutely stunning, but it is too expensive. From the train station is takes 15minutes by car. And there is nothing really close by. Rooms are rather big, however very old style. Very 60ies. The staff is nice.

  Nice resort near to sea!

  Excellent hotel at beautiful site. Overseeing the Pacific Ocean and able to see the sunset. The room is big in japan standard with balcony overlooking the ocean. Wine in summer time would be great. Have onsen facility and gym.. dinner is great and breakfast spread is fantastic that you can enjoy the Japanese best like curry rice.. ! Great place to stay.!

  A hotel on its own

  Hotel Harvest Nankitanabe is really located in the middle of nowhere in Wakayama, and even walking to the nearest convenience store requires a 30-minute stroll out of the hotel compounds, down the path to cross the road, then back on the path on the opposite side. (But fret not, there is a vending machine at the basement of the hotel). The hotel is amazingly beautiful, both from afar and within the compounds. The setting sun makes for a good backdrop, as the towering structure of the hotel stands out, literally. The room is big and comfortable, and has ample space for your luggage. The door to the balcony does not open though, but the view is pretty nice. Within the hotel lies a hot spring, segregated by gender, where you can relax after a meal. Like all Japanese onsens, no clothes are allowed, and you will have soap and cleanse yourself before entering the springs. It is quite a simple layout, with an indoor onsen and an outdoor onsen. I personally prefer the one outdoors. Would love to come back to this hotel someday for sure!
