We took one look and ran!Dont stay here! I dont know why I booked this place. We chose to forfeit our prepaid room and find another place. I will spare you the details. It appears from the clientele to be more of a residential hotel. No staff on premises.

Piece of paska place with a rude staff/manager. Don't stay here.I have been traveling to a lot of different places/countries, but this is by far the worst hostel/hotel I have ever been to in my life. My initial experience at the check-in was somewhat poor and felt very traditional in a way that she had no computer to confirm my registration at the desk/staff. It took at least 20 min for her to properly sort out the papers and find my registration paper. I was overall very unsatisfied and upset about the room I had gotten, it felt too small and narrow compared to the price of my payment. The bed was too small even for a single person, it was nearly impossible to sleep because the water from the toilet kept running and making noise even after flushing. The toilet flush was seemingly broken and didn't work properly when pushed down. The TV in the room literally had no channels, they were just blurred out channels, so you would get NO enjoyment whatsoever by just staying inside watching TV. The staff gives you the info for WiFi internet, but the connection was so poor that it was pretty much useless, it would sometimes show on the list of the device but then disappear because it was so bad. I had my own bathroom with shower and toilet, but there was not any toilet paper prepared for me when I first entered, I went to ask her for toilet paper, but she didn't understand English that well. She would just respond back in Finnish and I would not understand anything, she simply didn't wanna give me any toilet paper and implied that I should use the public bathrooms if I had to go to the toilet, and I was just baffled of her response, terrible service. At that point, I already thought of getting a compensation for my unsatisfactory experience, I tried several times throughout the days looking for the woman at the staff, but she was most of the time unapparent at the front desk or anywhere else. This got to my understanding that there is literally no proper management at the hostel, the whole hostel seems to be managed by 1 person, which is the woman herself "Harriet". Moreover, it is just really shady how she manages everything throughout the day/week. The dishes would be left dirty for many days, causing a lack of available spoons, forks, and knives the next days. It was not until the end of my stay, the last day at the checkout, I found out she was also the cleaning lady at the hostel for all the rooms and dishes in the "kitchen". I finally approached her to ask why my TV in the room was not working, and again she did not properly understand me - I had to explain to her what I was saying. As a response, she simply didn't know and said it was broken, I asked nicely why it was broken and that it is her responsibility that everything is properly prepared for the customers so that they can have a good experience. She looked somewhat weird and worrisome as if she didn't know what to do or say, I simply waited and asked if it was possible to get a bit of money back as compensation for all the things. She said it was not possible for her to handle that since she was "just" the cleaning lady at the hostel. She then tried to call a number who she claimed was "Harriet" and manager of the business, but there was no answer after she tried at least 10 times calling. I waited for about 10 min for her to do something about it, but eventually lost my patience and asked if I could talk to somebody else responsible and who could talk in English, but there was no one besides her. She then said I should call the number written at the front door by the entrance or write an email for complaint. At my approach to the exit, she quickly asked for the keys, as if she was just trying to get rid of me. I gave her the keys and tried to call the number several times. I went back upstairs to reach her and asked why there is no answer, with the same response, she didn't know ""Maybe BUSY" with her hand gestured as if she didn't know anything while acting as "just" a cleaning lady. There was no farewell wishes, nothing in the sense of "Thanks for staying, come by next time!" no, nothing at all. Probably the worst checkout at a hostel that I could have ever imagined. By no means go this place, it is simply a NIGHTMARE, it's the worst experience and service you can ever have. Management is poor, the facility is bad, the room was terrible, and the lady was outrageous. The whole experience felt as if someone served you a half filled cup of tea with no available milk, sugar, or spoon on the side, and there are many other complaints from customers with similar experiences. Later on the day, I had a good friend of mine who speaks fluently Finnish to call the number, which the woman at the hostel told me to call earlier during checkout. Apparently, the call was answered by the same woman at the hostel, she was furious and mad that we were calling late (23:00), and simply put down the phone and ended the call. The woman at the hostel was apparently "Harriet" herself after all this time I have been staying there. At this point, it pretty much confirmed everything in the end and that she is involved in managing the hotel and staff during check-in and check-out. I am only giving this place +2 for it's location, otherwise I wouldn't even stay there. TLDR: A "homemade" hostel, with no proper management or staff. None other than "Harriet" herself, a non-english speaking woman, who is rude, non-apparent, and ruma. Thanks for understanding

More or less waste of moneyThis hotel is located in a two-storey downtown building that looks like an old office building converted into a hotel. They call it a hotel, but I think it's a hostel, because there are shared bathrooms also. To be honest, it's not absolutely terrible, but you're sure to find a hotel that's a few levels better with the rates they charge (such as the Omena Hotel or Hesehotelli). The corridors are creepy and full of stuff that doesn't belong there. Upon reservation, I was left under the impression that breakfast was included in the fee (96/night, but this was because I booked only one day prior to arrival I suppose). When checking in, the young lady at the reception said that you have to pay for breakfast (15...??) and reserve it beforehand. The sign-in procedure was also really strange. She looked up my name on a hand-written notepad with reservation names, handed me the key and pointed me to the general direction in where the room was located. Nothing else. No ID-checking, no credit card verification, nothing. Easy-peasy, but really odd. The room (entering using a simple physical key) was a 10m2 little closet with a tiny toilet/shower. It was also very cold - even after shutting the windows and turning the heater on 11, it was chilly. No floor heating either, so the concrete floor tiles were also really cold. The small single bed was soft and I guess it was cheap Ikea throughout. I didn't...well, couldnt put the TV on because I couldn't find a remote anywhere. Signing out was, uh.... easy too. Nobody in the reception, so you would just leave the key in a pot full of other keys and leave. Absolutely no paperwork during the whole visit. Zero. I guess you could call signing in and out "a breeze" however strange that may be. All in all... I'll steer clear of this in the future, and so should you.

Hostelliksi halvahkon oloinen Below mediocre for hostelHintaan nähden ei hyvä. Halvaksi hostelliksi ihan ok. Too pricy for the quality. Dozen little things needed fixing in the room. Shower was a joke, for being way smaller that cruiser cabin toilet&shower. Also the noises from other rooms reminded me of cheap cruise. Well the cruise would have been half of the price. No handsoap or hand towel, even when global pandemic is still active. And no-one was intrested of how the night went. Just drop the key when you leave and get the *** out.

Most disgusting place ever!I have went the place having seen the advertisment at the train station. It looks shabby from the outsude but nothing particular that could tell of the real situation. I was given a single room for 59. On the first sight it seemed clean. The weird thing was that there was a small ventillator working even before I was there. As hours went by the room became hotter and hotter. No way to open the windows. The receptionist gave me a handle to open the window. As i did so, the lower section just dropped down and fell out -it was not connected by anything. The inner part had no normal access to open it. After many manipulations the receptionist opened it but still one cant really open or close it. The upper section is only opening a tiny bit and still not letting enough air in. Both the receptionist and myself tried to call the owner who practically hung up on both of us. She refused to return the money and refused ti find a solution and did not answer the phone. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. A formal complain to the ministry of tourism and municipality of Turku will follow.
