  Almost Perfect

  We were looking for a place to stay in pontianak for a night due to a problem with our flight. We got a promo price so it was cheap and extra nice. The service was very good, my flight is 7 a.m we couldn't have breakfast so they changed our breakfast coupons into dinner coupons. They also did the taxi booking for us. The restaurant, is great, they provide food for a good price (trust me), the price is even lower for the vegetarian menus! The only problem I got was the hot shower, it didn't work for me. I turned the knob into maximum and still it was cold for me (I used to shower using a hot 39 celcius degree water). Other from the shower was the wifi, our room was in the second floor and the wifi signal is poor. Use your phone in bed, there you'll get signal. Aside from those, we had our good night sleep and were satisfied with the hotel.

  Overall it's nice and clean hotel. Breakfast is ok. Staff also ok. Just the air-cond in the room not cold enough, their location is slightly far from town. The WIFI coverage in the room is very very very poor.

  Okay, but with reservations

  Hotel itself is clean. The room was clean and nothing was broken. Good air conditioning and hot water. TV pretty useless. Breakfast is ok but not more than that. The big let down is the location which is quite far from anything. The area itself is a bit dodgy and questionable at best. Would I recommend? Perhaps not. Take your time weighing options before choosing.

  Good enough, very good staff

  My boyfriend and I are budget travelers, but we stayed here because we had a really rough couple of days. Our room was on the first floor, we had a king bed, clean sheets and the bathroom was clean. Western style toilet, shower head and sink. We got a smoking room because we wanted a window- but the smell of stale smoke really came out, especially after the a/c was going for a few hours. It was quite nauseating, but I mention this only as warning to future guests. The hotel clearly says it's a smoking room so I do not hold them accountable. The staff were all extremely helpful and definitely provided excellent customer service. I felt like I was a rich celebrity, every time they would open and close the door for me, and call me miss and my boyfriend sir. However we are two dirtbag skateboarders, traveling on a budget. ;) We used a Grab to get everywhere, as it's a bit out of the city center. The food was very good.
