Perfect place for a luxury ski accommodationStaffs were exceptional and had staffs on site that spoke great English. They offered a free ride from Hakuba station or from Hakuba bus terminal In addition, they will drive you to the Happo-One ski area. Breakfast was excellent for the Japanese version as I had that every day. Dinner, when available, should be tried at least once. It is probably more expensive than other places nearby but the quality was worth it. The staffs also gave good recommendations on local places to try. Having a room with a private onsen is a really nice feature. Book as much in advance as you can as they book up very quickly.

Boutique DelightA beautiful Japanese treasure. Large comfortable rooms with mountain views. Ours (Toki) has an onsen in the room which overlooked the mountain - a brilliant and luxurious way to unwind after a day of skiing. The hotel is run by the owner couple and their young staff, who are consistently friendly and super helpful. They even dropped us and picked us up daily from the Ski school, so we didn't have to trudge all the way in our boots. Breakfast was a traditional Japanese or Western style, and in the afternoon we used their beautiful team room to unwind.

Not so hidden GemAn amazing experience having a private onsen in the room. It was a real treat to soak in the silky smooth onsen water before and after hitting the slopes. Really helps to soothe those aching muscles at the end a long day! Food as mentioned in the many reviews is highly rated and plenty of outside guests book to dine here as well. Def one of the better dining options available in the area. Well located being just a 5 min walk from Happo One bus terminal. Overall a really charming place to stay in with great service. Advance booking required as the hotel does not have many rooms and is extremely popular!

Super stay in Hakuba!Superb little hotel with fantastic staff and great food. We stayed 3 nights and would have liked to stay more :) Before we had even arrived, we had asked a few questions by email and the staff were exceptionally helpful. So we were pretty confident we would be looked after when we actually landed in hakuba. We arrived into Happo bus terminal and were picked up in a private transfer (Although the hotel is approx 3 min walk from the bus terminal!). But it removed the stress and got things off to a great start. We arrived around lunch and wanted to ski that afternoon, so the hotel gave us a ski pass at a great rate and contacted the ski gear rental company to come collect us. The room was perfect. We stayed in a basic room as there were no other rooms available. So meant we didnt have an in room onsen. But honestly, we didnt miss it. The onsen you can book for an hour is lovely. It wasnt ever really booked up. It was really clean and an incredible way to end the day. We had a bit of a mix up and someone else staying at the hotel accidentally took our onsen booking. Quite a surprise when we turned up and there were people in there . The hotel staff were great though, they closed one of the other two public onsens for an hour for us. They are normally reserved for just male/female only. This was a great touch and rescued what was going to be a bit of a lost evening given we had come back especially for our onsen booking. Breakfast the following day was awesome. We had the Japanese breakfast which came with lots of little dishes, all of which were delicious. Maybe the best miso soup weve had! Worth mentioning that I am a vegetarian, and they accommodated this with zero fuss! Switched up a few dishes for veggie ones. Which was really appreciated. I was all set to just eat cereal for 3 days! We also ate dinner at the hotel which was fabulous. Lots of little dishes all of which looked and tasted great. Again, I had a whole different vegetarian menu, with some really unusual, innovative dishes that were delicious. Didnt think Id have one of the nicest quiches Ive ever had in a Japanese ski resort! Price was reasonable as well for what was a really nice dinner. All in all, highly recommend. Thanks to all the staff!

A wonderful stayHad an enjoyable Japanese Ryokan (traditional home) experience complete with Japanese garments (Yukata) and slippers. I like the idea that shoes are left at the reception and you walk around in clean Japanese slippers. Do try the set dinners that they organize a few times a week. The public onsen was always empty even when the private one was booked. Best of all, the hotel was really quiet and conducive to a good night sleep. But there were no black out curtains and latest breakfast was 830 am. So no sleeping in till noon.
