We stayed in the Hotel Grosbeeren for 4 days and were thrilled with the acomodations. The rooms were typically small (unless you got the corner rooms like some people in our group) but were very clean and well cared for. The shower had tremendous water pressure which we did not find in other hotels during our stay. Although much of the staff didn't speak much English, they were kind in dealing with our ignorance of the German language and did whatever they could to help. Breakfast every morning was a simple continental breakfast of bread, cheese, meat, yogurt, etc. but was very good. The bar/restaurant on the property is FABULOUS! We ate at the restaurant twice and weren't disappointed either time. We also drank our fair share of Berliner at the bar and were treated extremely well by the staff. . . in particular Eliana was a doll! What a charming place. It was the perfect way to start our trip to Germany.

Great hotel and pleasant staff
My husband and I lived in Grossbeeren 20 years ago, and this hotel was there then and still is there. It shows very few signs of age. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The restaurant attached to the hotel is delicious. This hotel and its restaurant are options if you want to go to Berlin and stay outside of the city. The only drawback is the traffic noise from the busy highway that goes by the hotel; however, that is beyond the control of hotel staff.
