  it's getting better

  I come here with my family since 2014, and I would have never thought in 2014 that this Resort would have improved so much. The focus of this resort is mostly on children, with several facilities for children and teenagers. Anyway it has an excellent beach (maybe the better I have ever seen considering the space available for each guest and the wonderful sea), it has a very good restaurant on the beach, and finally this year it has also a very good animation team with professional dancers that provides very nice shows. By the way also the singer was good, and we have enjoyed some very nice show combining the singer and the dancers performances. Of course a Miniclub is also available with a very good team as well. All the kids go crazy everynight with the mini-disco and the quick show-up of the local mascot Rekalino, if you have kids they will probably make you adjust your agenda so to accomodate the Rekalino experience. The Minigolf course is availalbe and kept in good condition. The renewed apartments in the park are very nice with conditioning and mosquito nets (I think the nets are missing from the more expensive bungalow on the sea, and from the not-renewed apartments). The apartment maintance team is very fast, everytime we reported something was broken or not working, it was fixed within half an hour. The negative side are the mattresses, which are new but uncomfortable. I think the company made the error of buying those bad memory matresses which basically make you sleep in the shape of some previous guest.

  One of the best Resorts I have ever been:) Service, food & wine, beach, friendly staff, superbe entertainment for Kids and adults. Tuscany unique in Europe, perfect food and perfect wines. An unique place, Golfo del Sole Tuscany

  Vacation on the beach with a lot of imperfections....

  The location is really on the beach which is really nice and well equipped.. Private's beach each is long, well maintained, clean water in the sea, not over crowded. Staff and services at the location are very good. We appreciated the service of all the staff, they do a perfect job everywhere. Nevertheless, there are several issues which are not mentioned by any travellers: 1.Railway road is very close to the facility (200mt or less) so you can hear the noise of a train every 30-40 minutes, even in the night. So it is really difficult to sleep in the night there. I see it as a big disadvantage of all Follonica area. 2. Rooms - they seem OK (we stayed in a hotel), but there is some alarm flashing light in a position that you see it all the night from your bed (impossible to switch off, the same in a different room when we asked for a change). Also the switches for the lights are a bit illuminated all the night, it is impossible to have a real darkness in the night, small details which disturb you all the night. 3. Air-condition - even when it was switched off manually from the reception, sometimes it somehow turned on for a while during the night. I wouldn't come back because of these issues. After 6 sleep less nights we have decided to depart despite the fact that we have prepaid one more night. The last night we stayed in a different location and we were finally able to sleep :).

  Location and beach 5* Service 2*. Unfriendly and unhelpful. Food 2*. At times inedible and always expensive Room 3*. Spiders, dust and mosquitos in the room on arrival. Covid 2*. Few staff wore masks properly if at all. Overall, overpriced for what you get.

  Ideal for many

  My wife and I spent three nights at Golfo del Sole from 20-23 October 2020 and came away enthusiastic. The accomodations, of which there are a number of alternatives from hotel room to apartment, were excellent and well maintained. We happened to hit a time when the guests came primarily from the Berne, Switzerland area because they love it and it was their autumn school vacation. There are many opportunities for children including mini-golf, bike rental and evening programs.The breakfasts were very good, the evening menu inviting enough to not have to go out seaching elsewhere, although Follonica with its restuarants and unique MAGMA museum is minutes away. The beach with its spectacular view for us was perfect. The staff very polite and competent. No hesitation to recommend to others.
