  Hotel Gemma, Riccione-10th Year, Love it!

  Been staying at the Hotel Gemma every year since 2003. You can see what a great job the Conti family have achieved when you see several generations of the same Italian families year after year all together enjoying the food, their rooms all with air conditioning, small bathroom with shower/toilet/bidet but good, the staff, (Gretta, Patrizia, Michele, Giovanni, Lucia, Anna, Sabrina and Jonathan in the kitchen), the beach and the friendliness and courtesy of the Conti family. Last few years we've had Room 145 on the 3rd floor overlooking the beach, (Maurizio Beach 114 and Marinella of Bar Enzo, (great expresso!)). Unfortunately Mr Conti died earlier this year, just before his 80th birthday, but his dear wife Anna and sons Roberto and Stefano were all great as usual. Hope to manage many more years here.

  Cycling with sea view

  We have been cycling in Riccione a dozen times, this was our first time we were based at Gemma. What we liked the most was the sea view, our room was labeled as "Top floor, sea view". On some other hotels in Riccione you don't actually see the sea at all, some kind of waste when you travel to seaside. Bicycles were rental bikes from Teknobike. They came without pedals, so be prepared to install and remove those yourself, and any other adjustments as well. Although,as the other bike was having the longest stem we have ever seen, we took it to Teknobike and they changed in few minutes to a normal one. Otherwise, we were the only cyclists at that time in Gemma, so no guides were there. Not a slightest problem for us as we know the area and roads already, but if your holiday depends on someone showing the routes, check the availability of the guide. Food was tasty, different menus every day. Instead of more or less buffet style restaurants, Gemma has plates served to the tables. Water and wine was included into the packet, too. As we were most days cycling at lunch time, they prepared portions for us and stored those in the ridge. That was little bit different from pasta buffets, YMMV but this suited us well.

  Stay here

  Switched to this hotel from the mediteranno. The staff was kinder, the food was better, the rooms were nicer, and my stay was cheaper. All around a great resort. I would certainly recommend going back to riccione and I certainly stay here. ..

  Fabulous location, but the staff make this hotel the best

  This is the third time we have stayed at this property. We have used it as a home base for cycling and every year we have been impressed with the staff. Everyone is so helpful and accommodating. They take care of everything including arranging for bike rentals. They all go above and beyond in customer service. Hotel is very clean. And easy walk to shops and restaurants.

  nice hotel, friendly staff

  Location is just right for evening walk to coffee and shopping. We had one person with food allergies, hotel personnel were helping to choose/modify every meal to fit the need. We wanted to have specific rooms from the hotel, and personnel made required arrengements to fit our needs - personnel does what they can to help the customer enjoy the holidays. rooms were kept clean, and everything in our room worked fine. To Gemma personnel, thanks for making our vacation for something nice to be remembered later !
