  El hotel es acogedor, no lo esperaba. Me dieron una habitación individual muy buena, espaciosa. sin embargo, sigo sin comprender que se pongan camas de 80 cm en hoteles de 4 estrellas. Ese el único detalle reprochable. Las vistas desde la habitación, preciosas, directas al teleferico de subida a Untersberg.

  This super family friendly hotel had an amazing breakfast and were very accommodating when we came in very late. The room was very clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Such a great find!

  Hotel at foot of the Untersberg Mountain

  We have had a number of trips to Salzburg, staying in the city and have always had a trip to the top of the Untersberg on the cable car. Having seen the hotel on each trip as you get off the bus, we had wanted to stay there. This trip we did and it was well worth making the effort. It is on the main road towards Salzburg, not far from the autobahn junction.. The hotel itself doesnt have a great deal of private parking for the number of rooms there are a number of spaces at the front, and a line at the back by the restaurant, but there is plenty of public parking in the cable car parking area which is all on the same campus. Reception large and airy and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. There is a lift. WiFi quick to connect. Room was clean and large, with a balcony. Our room was at the front, facing the road so there was a fair bit of traffic noise, but that quietened down at night. There was no air conditioning in the room, so we had the balcony door on vent during the night. There was plenty of storage, armchair, desk and chair and minibar/fridge. TV with mountain webcam channel. Nice en-suite with walk in shower. Towels were changed, and room made up every day. There was an amazing variety of food at breakfast, juices, fruit, roast vegetables, eggs, bread and pastries, meats, cheeses and yogurts. Very nice coffee. We had meals in the restaurant 3 times, once inside and twice on the terrace. The vegetarian selection was good also with a vegan option. The portions were huge, and sadly we only managed dessert on one occasion. Meals were good value. We would definitely stay here again, but would book direct with the hotel and ask for a room at the back. There is a mini-mart across the road that sells rolls, snacks and drinks, so handy for a picnic or onward journey. The Salzburger Card is sold at reception and there is a Tourist Information Office next to the hotel. Buses to the centre of town leave about every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes in the evening from the stop next to the hotel. The trip is about 20 minutes. Fuel station on the main road, about 5 minutes drive away.

  Dined at Hotel Restaurant Only

  We happened to stumble into restaurant at hotel (we were thinking it was another restaurant we were searching for). Regardless, we opted to stay--busy on a Saturday night with many locals which was a good sign. We ordered three different meals--pizza, fried chicken, and Weiner Schwein. Mother commented the pizza was "okay," step father advised the chicken was pretty good (and hot--temp). The Weiner Schwein (Schnitzel)--pork--was pretty good. Given they were busy, service was a little spotty, but it was expected. All in all--not a bad meal, but there's more restaurants in the immediate area to choose from.

  Good location to explore Salzburg surrounding and Salt mines

  Rooms were big enough, clean, service was good. Also they have good restaurant. We had a small incident with Cordon blue but it can happen (rest was good and also the price was reasonable). Location is very good if you wanna explore in 1 shot Salzburg, Kehlstein house ... It is also a good starting point to visit mountains, as just behind the hotel you have a cable car.
