    Ginza Hohsen at Galadari Hotel

    One of the best, if not, the best place in Sri Lanka to have authentic Japanese cuisine. Been a frequent customer for the past 20 years and will continue to do so till the very end Excellent services provided by all the staff members. It really feels like a second home. A huge thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Balasuriya as well for always taking care of us so well.

    Five Star property in Colombo 1.

    One of the oldest 5 star properties in Colombo city. They have all five star facilities and many restaurants/ reception halls. Rooms are nice and clean, Overlooking the Indian Ocean and the beautiful Colombo city. Their Arabic / Indian food is nice and also the lobby bar is a nice place to hang out. Hotel General Manager / Operations head is a nice helpful gentleman and the reservation staff is also very helpful.

    The worst hotel in Colombo

    I've visited Galadari multiple times with family and friends some time back.. I booked a room with them hoping it would be the same but it was absolutely disappointing.. Room service takes hours. The management at the front desk is horrible.. Specially the manager Sanath and his team. Id never visit the place again. There are so many places in the heart of Colombo to visit, for the same price which is 1000 times better. Horrible experience...

    Well Past its Sell by Date

    This hotel is appalling from the minute you enter until the minute you leave Hotel needs so much of renovation furniture is dirty and stained curtains have Velcro patches to keep them closed no bed runners or cushion on beds no duvet breakfast room so drab and dingy so bad next day ordered room service after over one hour it didn't arrive so as checking requested my money refunded took over thirty minutes for a manger to come if i heard the word sorry from all including the manager it was at least 50 times ro receive my refund had to sign several piece of paper and give detail reason. NO MANAGEMENT images are from 30 years ago

    Very disappointed with the staff

    We called Galadari around 8.30pm asking if the buffet was on and how much it was. Afterwards we made our way to Galadari. Always loved the service received at Galadari. Have come for the buffet and High Tea many times. This time it was also the same when we arrived. Was greeted by the very friendly security staff at the entrance and did an excellent job with checking us for security which we appreciated. After we got to the restaurant we asked if we can get a table for two for the dinner buffet. It was then that we met Niroshana. He said its impossible and that they were fully booked. We very politely explained that we had just spoken to the operator and he didnt inform us it was fully booked. That is why we came. We cant blame the operator. That person wouldnt have know. So its definitely not their fault. And since it was just the two of us. We asked if he can make an exception as we have come all the way there. Niroshana was not willing to listen. We went on about how they are busy. How there is no room. And that he been answering calls from afternoon ( which isnt relevant to us ) He said he can see. But he cant promise. Pointed at a couple who was eating and said. If they leave will be able to do something. You will have to wait. But I dont know. He wasnt at all polite and was very arrogant about it. He seemed as if he was over worked and was not in a mood to speak any guest. We definitely didnt come there to eat for free. We are the paying customer. I understand if he couldnt accommodate us. But there is away to communicate and speak to a customer. We believe in supporting local hotels in this time of crisis and will continue to support Galadari as we have always loved our past experiences with you. But we will definitely not want to dine in again as we are very disappointed with the way we were spoken to by Niroshana. But kudos the all the previous staff we have encountered that has been beyond excellent and accommodating previously. Wish you the best.
