  Recommended!

  Good location for visiting Haddeby/ Haithabu. Nice, new, well-designed boutique hotel. Breakfast only, hence a "hotel garni". Sauna in the large garden in the back, which I unfortunately had not time for. But if you do have the time, you can jump right into the outdoor swimming pool, even when the air is a few degrees above freezing. Clean, nice service, and yes, the breakfast does look like that. And tastes good, too. Tea selection could be a bit wider. One sometimes has to wait a bit for the receptionist to show up, but they are friendly and efficient. Definitely good value and recommended.

  Rather meagre for the price

  We had to book the most expensive room at the F-Ritz, around £85, so we expected something good for our money. Certainly the room was very pleasant and the bed very comfortable. There were lots of big windows with blinds on them. Unfortunately the only one that opened was a small one plus the door to the roof terrace (which had no blind, and thus let the light into the room at dawn). The bathroom was pleasant and the small shower was adequate. We were a bit surprised to find only a tiny bar of soap and two shower gel sachets for toiletries ( and they weren't replaced for our second day). The bath towels were both small and rough, and one wasn't replaced on the second day though it was on the floor. It did seem a bit cheap for the price of the room. We also were disappointed that there was no fridge in the room or coffee/tea making facilities. There was a free bottle of water. Although the hotel offers free wifi it did not reach our 2nd floor room. So we had to sit in the breakfast room to use the net. At least the owner did apologise for this saying it would be fixed after we left. Breakfast for a small hotel was pretty good. Cereal, fruit, cold meat and cheese, yogurt, a fine spread. And the coffee was good too. The hotel is a couple of miles outside town with only 2 nearby restaurants. The Greek one should be avoided at all costs. Overall a mixed experience.

  A bit far from the main central part of town

  It's a nice comfortable hotel with a good breakfast buffet. Our room had the sliding door for the shower connected to the bedroom and a separate room for the sink and toilet. Not recommended for a person that is shy. The hotel is about a 40 minute walk to St. Petri-Dom which I consider the more central part of Schleswig.

  Fabulous

  Just stayed the 1 night as on route through Germany to Denmark & Sweden. Lovely lady checked us in very good English although no English stay there. Nice room very clean & comfortable. Honesty bar so help yourself. No good except a very good buffet breakfast, but loads of restaurants within walking distance. Parking is a bit hit & miss if you get a space outside don t move! All in all enjoyed our stay & would recommend. Can't deduct a star for parking because the place is lovely.

  Fresh!

  We stopped here by chance, and it was great! Very clean and fresh rooms with nice design and everything you need, not least comfortable beds. Lovely breakfast as well, and several restaurants close by. Friendly staff.
