    Very pleasant stay

Very happy with our first post lockdown break. Room was spotless, very comfortable and roomy. Lovely big shower with huge, soft towels. Really good lighting. Delicious breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely come again!

It is what it says it is

Lovely boutique hotel with a gorgeous room and impressive bathroom (Room 2). The breakfast choice was impressive with great fresh produce. We ate at the hotel and the meal was spot on. Very accommodating of our 4 bikes and everything was super relaxed

    Weekend away

Arrived on a Friday afternoon finally found the hotel it's on the high st look for the big red doors. Had to park the car 2 or 3 minutes away on a doctors car park not ideal . The hotel itself is lovely inside. We had room 7 . It was a big room plenty of room and spotless. Good size shower . But be warned you will have to climb a good few stairs. The staff are very friendly and polite. We only eat an evening meal once in the hotel it was not good . Breakfast is fine . There's not a lot around this hotel but its a great base for visiting the coast. And you can find some lovely restaurants not to far away.

    Dissppointed

When my husband arrived he was told we had to book our breakfast on a sheet because of covid and our breakfast would come to our room. So we waited and waited and in the end rang downstairs (3 floors) and told that we had been told wrong and we had to go downstairs. Sit anywhere we were told so we did. Then we were told to move to a seat that had been set up so it wasnt really anywhere. Our order has consisted of an orange juice each but none appeared and on asking only one was served. My cereal never appeared. The pot of coffee for 2 only filled one and a half cups. My bug bear of toast coming with the cooked breakfast and not after but it seems to be the modern way but the cooked breakfast was minimal. And then I had to ask for preserves. The waitress was not at all smiley or amiable. Bit of a flop.

    Great Last Minute Stay

This hotel was booked at very short notice whilst travelling in the area, and approximately twenty minutes after booking we arrived and were greeted by a very friendly member of the team. You access the hotel through big red doors from the main street and this truly is a great establishment. It is a boutique hotel with a great selection of rooms as well as a restaurant. There were a couple of minor issues such as the lift was not in operation, however the team could not have been more helpful to assist us with getting our luggage to our room and ensuring that we were ok. The room was large and comfortable with two very nice single beds, a great wet room as this was an accessible room which met our needs in every way and the room was very spacious. There was a great TV with access to Sky and all the other channels, kettle with plenty of tea/coffee and hot chocolate as well as bottled water. Plenty of storage and everything that you would need for a pleasant stay. Breakfast in the morning was excellent and each of the team who were serving clearly took pride in their jobs. The young man who was the Chef is a true credit to The Forty One and took pride in ensuring that the breakfast he cooked was to a very high standard. My mother had delicious pancakes and I had scrambled egg and toast which was great. There is a great breakfast menu and all of the produce is fresh and of great quality too. It was so nice to see a team strive to provide only excellent service and take pride in all that they do. Upon check out and leaving the hotel, the young Chef who was finishing for the morning couldn't have been more helpful and readily assisted me and my mother with our luggage, sorry I have forgotten your name however thank you for everything and for taking such great care of my mum too it is appreciated and you deserve to be recognised for providing such excellent service both in the kitchen making a delicious breakfast and taking the time to speak and readily assist guests too. Driffield is a lovely little town, with great shops and close to the coast and more. If we find ourselves back in this area I would certainly stay at the Forty One again and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a friendly establishment with great service. This year has been a challenge for everyone, however it is great to see a friendly establishment like this still keen to provide a great stay and only the best service and we wish everyone at the 41 only the best for the future and we hope to return again in the future.
