  Surprise surprise

  After reading the reviews, we decided to chance it and we weren't disappointed. The owner is not bad at all; I mean here he is depicted as an absolute pain, whereas what we found was a man passionately in love with his job and his hotel, a very hard worker with a no-nonsense approach. He was very accomodating with us - and very kind also to our small baby. As per general service, yes, I share with the others reviewers, it is truly great, the staff was helpful and always very kind. We tried the newly refurbished spa is spotless; it is small but it didn't get too crowded, so we were quite happy. We didn't get a room on the back of the hotel, so we probably got an outdated one: the shower floor was broken and only just about mended, but the furniture and carpet were absolutely fine. Only downside: there was mould on the window panel, a lot of it. We didn't report and we should have, but since we stayed just a couple of nights and were out most of the day to enjoy the snow we decided to leave it. Overall I'd say the hotel is pretty good and certainly doesn't deserve so many negative reviews. Plus the price was great and far cheaper compared to other hotels in the same conditions. And please, let's not crucify the owner, he is really a great guy after all.

  lovely staff, very flexible and helpful. we had some problems and arrived very very very early,, ( in the middle of the previous night, we were allowed to check in early, as soon as the staff arrived that morning. great food... loved the chef. very clean... everything you need! would def reccomend. fantastic location..not much else to say! I would absolutely return

  Relaxing ski trip

  We hoped for good access to ski slopes, spa facilities and a comfortable room for our family ski trip. We found all of this at the Hotel Fanes, together with excellent service. The only drawback (for us) was the that the nightly animation is loud. If you're not participating, you don't want to stay on the ground or first floors. We were surprised the first night, but the staff generously accommodated us in a room one floor up. The hotel's spa facilities are lovely and opened between 3-7. We would have appreciated slightly more expanded hours. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to town. Dinner at the hotel was very good, and we ventured out a few nights to try some of the local restaurants. Thanks to the staff of Hotel Fanes for a relaxing sojourn in a beautiful location.

  excellent for relax

  I passed one week skiing in Dolomitis on February 2016, and in Fanes Hotel I found very kind and professional staff, wonderful service, good and various food, beautiful views, comfortable spa with a warm small swimming pool .

  Great hotel and spa in a really traditional alpine environment

  The hotel is a real must for those who want to experience alpine holidays with great relax. The hotel SPA is really wonderful with some hot pools and sauna in the lovely garden. Hotel rooms are ok, even though our Ladina was slightly small and quite commonly decorated. Food is just great, from the morning breakfast to the complimentary afternoon tea and the luxurious dinner. A lovely bar for relaxed after dinner is also available to hotel guests
