Ab Fab but basic bedroomsReally lovely hotel in the centre and so handy for everything. Bedrooms are basic for sure.! One has stunning views so can put up with basic as one should be out and about in any case. We slept with windows wide open as it was 36* and we slept well.....for dead centre....not too noisy at all....any case you should be well tired with all the lovely things to do there. Book with confidence for a lovely hotel with basic bedrooms. I had a gorgeous view from my pillow.!

Fantastic place for a weekend away in the Swiss AlpsLove the large room with the wonderful balcony (with two large chairs to relax in). Attentive front desk staff. Special attention given by the waitstaff at breakfast and dinner (Marlene? from Portugal was fantastic). Would suggest adding a self-serve coffee machine for breakfast

Amazing Service - Great LocationI have many business trips each year and the 2 most important things I need on those trips is great location and amazing service. Hotel Europe in Davos delivered on both fronts. Every day, I felt very special as the front desk and all hotel employees went out of their way to make me feel welcome and appreciated for staying there. The Piano Bar was also a lot of fun after my work obligations. I highly recommend Hotel Europe. Its just steps away from the Schatzalp which is a must while In Davos.

Noisiest hotel everWell located, nice swimming pool and spa, but noisiest hotel I have ever been to. They have a piano bar inside which plays until 2am and then a nightclub near by takes over to make you listen to music until 4-5 am. The walls are so thin that I could hear people walking in the stairs, and the nearby rooms. Called the reception 3 times and the only answer was "the hotel is fully booked".

Magic place but also magic missesWe searched for a central Davos Platz hotel with charm and an inside pool. And basically found it, but hey the charm comes at a price. For the current price level we'd recommend giving it a miss. The charm is of course partly due to the age; it's a 19th century Grand Hotel with lots of wings and memories. E.g. an elevator with benches to sit on is lovely! Pool/fitness/sauna also great, with mountain views during the swim/exercising. Nice free ticket for the nextdoor funicular if staying 2 nights or more, and the handy Davos/Klosters Premium pass too. The rooms already are more of a mixed blessing. We had a Superior one, and both the sheer size of the room and the large balcony with deck chairs were impressive. As were the large double bed and the TV/Wifi. But the bathroom looked and felt 40-50 years old for most parts, except two new mirrors (two sinks, great!) with digital clock of which one was already broken. Bath tub old and worn-out, and that sink either gave a too hot or a too cold shower. Some other elements of the room also really need serious refurb, like a wardrobe with broken hinge; the design of the wardrobe and TV cupboard isn't great either when you want to store and (un)pack luggage, and the room looked always dark due to lack of enough lights. Staff were generally friendly and helpful, e.g. Reception. BUT if the room door has a sign outside 'do not disturb' (as we were out for breakfast, and wanted to arrange towels for keep/change after that) and the cleaners simply came into our room (I guess after knocking) and did the cleaning with the wrong info on the towels a huge shame, rude and lack of proper attitude! And probably the biggest BUT for the whole hotel: for advertising as 4 star, and having that price level, one serves full breakfast (American/English) with hot dishes. _Not_ just continental breakfast with a decent offering of bread and cheese and jam (but limited cereals); as it was quiet the 2nd day we asked the waiter for boiled eggs and he brought them made-to-order, but it's unclear whether this was an extra or a normal part of the breakfast. Overall: too much homework for the hotel to be worth 4 stars currently, more 2-3 stars.
